Who would be the audience for
your media product?
My film is designed to inform people about
police brutality and racially profiling.
It is a gritty
crime thriller
set in London,
bringing with it
the challenges
young people
face in the city
every day.
Target Audience:
• Crime thrillers are predominantly enjoyed by males, which is why my target audience was males
aged 15-24, as this the range of men who enjoy fast paced, action packed and sometimes
gruesome films.
• Most crime thrillers star a male as the lead role, normally engaging in dangerous combat
situations and succeeding in what they do. Seeing a man in the lead and in charge can often make
men feel as if they are being represented in this way and may feel proud or look up to the main
character. These types of films often include vast amounts of strong and graphic violence, sexual
content and drug use, appealing to 15 year olds and above as it seems dangerous and exciting.
Creating a gritty British crime thriller allows for me to delve into harsh matters like violence, crime
and corrupt police (a theme occurring more and more these days).

• The previous mood boards exhibit the target audiences possible
interests in films, fashion, food, music e.t.c… These are
predominantly the hobbies and style of 15-24 year olds in the UK
who would enjoy my film and who the film is catered to.

• Have revolving employment; high temporary unemployment
• Use video and video games as a form of fantasy
• Are fun loving
• Are imitative
• Rely heavily on public transportation
• Are the center of low-status street culture
• Desire to better their lives but have difficulty in realizing their desire
• Wear their wealth.
Makers: Members of this group typically:
• Are distrustful of government
• Have a strong interest in all things automotive
• Have strong outdoor interests (hunting and fishing)
• Believe in sharp gender roles
• Want to protect what they perceive to be theirs
• See themselves as straightforward; appear to others as anti-
intellectual
• Want to own land.
