This is about how Climate Change changes us as well as the world. We all know that climate change is now the major issue of the world. This slide of mine will point out the occurrence that climate change bears in our day to day life.

5. CLIMATE CHANGE
• Climate change refers to seasonal changes over a long period of time.
• Worldwide, people are paying serious attention to climate change.
• Because so many systems are tied to climate, such as, people, plants and
animals live, such as food production, availability and use of water, and
health risks.
7. TYPES OF NATURAL FACTORS
Volcanic eruptions
When a volcano erupts it throws out
large volumes of sulphurdioxide (SO2),
water vapour, dust, and ash into the
atmosphere.
Ocean current
The oceans are a major component of
the climate system. Ocean currents
move vast amounts of heat across the
planet.
8. TYPES OF NATURAL
FACTORS
Earth orbital changes
The earth makes one full orbit around the sun
each year. It is tilted at an angle of 23.5 to the
perpendicular plane of its orbital path. Changes in
the tilt of the earth can lead to small but
climatically important changes in the strength of
the seasons.
Forest fire
A wildfire is any uncontrolled fire in an area of
combustible vegetation that occurs in the
countryside or a wilderness area.
9. ARTIFICIAL FACTORS
Human Activities
There is strong evidence that the climate change over the last half-century has
been caused largely by human activity, such as the burning of fossil fuels and
including agriculture and deforestation."
10. ARTIFICIAL FACTORS
Emission of green house gases
such as…
Water vapour, carbon-di-oxide, methane, nitrous oxide, ozone
and CFC's.
Solar radiation
• 51% of solar radiation absorb by earth.
• 20% scattered by the clouds
• 19% absorb by clouds and atmosphere &
• 6% scattered by atmosphere,4% reflected by surface.
11. GREEN HOUSE GASES
Greenhouse gases trap the infrared heat
that is trying to escape back into space.
Increase in the global average surface
temperature .
Greenhouse effect, contributing to global
warming.
The atmospheric trapping, or reflection
of radiant energy back toward the earth.
Carbon dioxide Nitrous oxide
Water vapor Methane
Sulfur hexafluoride
Effect of greenhouse gases
12. EFFECTS OF CLIMATE CHANGE
Global Warming:
Global Warming is the increase of Earth's average surface
temperature due to effect of greenhouse gases.
13. EFFECTS OF GLOBAL
WARMING
=> Sea level rising.
=> Global temperature is rising.
=> Health risk.
=> Melting polar icebergs and glacier.
=> Arctic sea ice loss.
15. EFFECTS OF CLIMATE
CHANGE
Melting Of Glacier:
Nearly 97% of Greenland's surface ice sheet thawed during a four day period in
July - more than it ever has in the last 30 years, NASA satellite data shows..
16. EFFECTS OF CLIMATE CHANGE
Acid rain is a rain or any other form of precipitation that is unusually acidic. Acid rain is caused by
emissions of sulfur dioxide and nitrogen oxides, which react with the water molecules in the acids.

28. WHAT ELSE CAN WE DO?
Conserve Heating & Cooling
•Install programmable thermostats.
•Check and repair weather stripping on doors and windows.
•Adjust your clothing instead of the thermostat.
•Keep furnace and AC filters clean.
•Consider closing off unused rooms.
•Install insulated drapes.
•Plant deciduous trees on the sunny side of your home.
29. WHAT ELSE CAN WE
DO?
Conserve Hot Water
[In the average home, 17% of energy is used to heat water]
•Take shorter showers.
•Install low flow shower heads.
•Install a blanket on your hot water heater.
•Insulate hot water pipes.
•Wash laundry in cold water.
•Only run the dishwasher if it’s full.
30. WHAT ELSE CAN WE
DO?
Conserve Electricity
•Unplug chargers for cell phones and other appliances when not in use.
•Get in the habit of turning lights and appliances off.
•Vacuum the coils on the back of the fridge monthly.
•Change to compact fluorescent bulbs.
•Make your next computer a laptop.
•Install timers or motion sensors on outdoor lights.
31. The UN Climate Change Conference COP 25 (2 – 13 December 2019) took place under
the Presidency of the Government of Chile and was held with logistical support from the
Government of Spain. SBSTA 51/ SBI 51 took place 2-9 December 2019. The pre-sessional
period was from 25 November - 1 December 2019. The President for the conference
was Ms. Carolina Schmidt, Minister of Environment of Chile. The conference
was designed to take the next crucial steps in the UN climate change process.

…and there may never be again. Do your part.
