1. TITLE : “ERECTION & COMMISSIONING 10,000 METRIC TON PER ANNUM
ZEOLITE - A PLANT FOR GCMIL”
Description
GCMIL is a joint venture company of GMDC (Gujarat Mineral Development
Corporation) and GAIL (Gujarat Apollo Industries Ltd.) .The company have a small
unit DBLB(Dry Beneficiation Of Low Grade Bauxite) After the succession of DBLB
unit we are planned to start Zeolite-A Plant , The projected project cost is 150 cores,
zeolite is nothing but it’s a adsorbent, it is applied in Petrochemical industry,
Nuclear industry, Biogas Industry, Commercial and domestic Heating and
refrigeration, Detergents, Cat litter, Construction, Gemstones, Biological,
Medical, Agriculture etc. and the capacity of whole plant is 10000 TPA.
Project Responsibility
1. Knowledge in ASME (B31.3), IS, ASTM, API, AWS, IBR
2. Handled whole piping of plant.
 Experience with equipment layouts, legend sheet, P&IDs, PFD, isometrics
drawings, and bill of materials, piping fabrication and erection,
 To understand equipment layout, legend sheets, welding symbols, welding
procedure and qualification process.
 Carried out NDT of welding for high pressure piping mainly DP, RT, and
hydrostatic test of equipment, super structure and welded piping.
 Performs and checks piping calculations following standard methods and principles.
 Maintains a high level of understanding of departmental design standards,
applicable engineering codes, including ASME, API standard.
 Installation of piping, structure and supports as per equipments needful.
 Maintains engineering records related to IBR LINES, piping, valves, fittings,
and other specialties.
 Responsible to lead Engineers, Supervisors, Technicians, Foreman, manage
subcontractors, and ensure project progress.
 Experience in project, planning, and material take off, quantity estimation
and as built drawing. Forecast of labor and material requirements.
3. Structure work
 Working closely on construction plans with clients, architects, and other
professionals.
 Assures system and product quality by designing testing methods; testing finished- and
product and system capabilities; confirming fabrication, assembly, and installation
processes

1. TITLE : “ERECTION & COMMISSIONING COAL FIRED HOT AIR GENERATOR @
IFFCO KANDLA” (2013 to 2015)
Description
In IFFCO Kandla plant, they were using fuel oil for generating hot air for drying out
fertilizer products. Due to the increasing price of fuel oil, they had decided to install coal fired
HAGs for this purpose. It involves installation of 6 nos. of direct HAGs, each having a capacity
of 50 lakh kcal / hour and 2 nos. of direct HAGs, each having a capacity of 50 lakh kcal / hour.
The projected project cost is 60 crore and the payback period is just 1.5 years.
Project involved
 Study of the plant area for preparing a proper lay out for the HAG plant which is to be
completed in two phases. (Kandla I & Kandla II)
 Supervision of onsite fabrication of various equipments like coal bunker, ducts,
structural members, conveyors, ESP, etc
 Instructing civil works for providing pockets in foundations at required levels.
 Erection of major equipments like Bunkers, Furnace, Fans, ESP, Heat exchangers, etc
with the help of high capacity crawler cranes, hydras, etc.
 Erection of 2 nos. of ESPs and a 41 mtr Chimney for the Indirect HAG.
 Erection of equipments like crushers, elevators, conveyors, screens, bag filter etc. for
setting up a 25 MTPH Coal crushing unit.
 Erection of two major conveyors each having a length of 250 meters at a height of 20
meter for transferring coal from crusher house to bunkers.
 Erection of 1600mm dia MS ducts & 1500mm SS ducts for transferring the hot air from
HAGs to party’s existing dryers.
 Erection of a pneumatic ash handling system for conveying ash from various outlets to
silo.
Result
2 nos. of direct HAGs and 2 nos. of indirect HAGs are commissioned in the month of
March-2014. Trial run is taken for a period of 7 days and the results are taken for a period of
72 hours continuously. We have successfully showed an efficiency of 85% and capacity of 50
lakh kcal / hour to IFFCO officials as assured in the beginning of project. The HAG plant is
running trouble free at IFFCO Kandla.
Other major projects involved.
1) Erection and commissioning of various equipments for Zinc ash feeding system in Zinc
Sulphate plant of IFFCO Kandla.
2) Erection and commissioning of various equipments for automation of 18:18:18 plant of
IFFCO Kandla
3) Fabrication of 20 KL Diesel tank.
4) Piping works:
 Fabrication, Erection and Commissioning of a new 3 km Pipe line for a newly
constructed treated water tank. The project involved the pumping of treated water from
DM plant to RCC water tank which is 800 m away from the DM plant and Pumping of
treated water to various plant locations through a 4” MS piping network of about 2.2
kms length for various Cleaning/ Washing purposes.
 Fabrication, Erection and Commissioning of Pipelines & pipe racks for Fire- hydrant
system for newly commissioned Coal fires HAG project.
 Replacement of MS lines to SS for the Sulphuric acid (98 % conc. H2SO4) handling.
 Ultrasonic thickness testing has been conducted on 8” & 4” MS lines. The MS lines
found unfit for a portion of about 1 kms & thus SS 316 L lines have been suggested. 1
kms. Of SS lines has been laid in the existing pipe racks. Dye penetrant test and
ultrasonic flaw-detection has been conducted in welding joints.
 Repair and testing of various pipelines for Ammonia, Compressed air, Sulphuric acid,
Phosphoric acids, Compressed air, Service water, Fire hydrant, etc.
