Experimentation: Developing Five Experiments/Activities in science and
Prepare a Report
Dr.Sonali N.Channawar
Abstract: Education is source of knowledge where each and every individual
involve through any reason for learning, literacy, experience, observation and
interest. In every education stream reflect their identity through various manner
out of them science is the very much high potential and important subject in
education. Science is the study where we can find the fact, innovation,
discoveries through experimentation and science activity which deals with
environmental status. Science is only the subject who has ability to find the
result in around the atmosphere through exploration and discovery in which
process of Experimentation has fact finding ability. Itplays very important role
in science because without experiments it is incomplete.
Introduction: An experiment is a way of discovering the fact, problem, things
and putting it where it is needed. There are some important experimental
methods to use in different reasons in scientific method, experiments are the
primary component and testing hypothesis for particular purpose (physical
process) in favourable condition. Experiment is an integral part of science
without experiment science is incomplete that why experiment play vital role in
science for providing scientific knowedge.Experiments and other types of hands
on activities are very important to student learning in the science classroom
(Wikipedia source).Experiments can raise test scores and help a student become
more engaged and interested in material they are learning, especially when used
over time.(Stohr-Hunt:Patrica, 1996).Experiment are a way of presenting
material that students actively experience and prove about what they are a
learning ,students are totally involved in doing following a process ,observing
an object, analysing ,proving and drawing their own conclusions about an object
,condition or process.Experiment activities can be seen as an activity that can
train science process skill, scientific attitudes and a scientist’s way of thinking.
Students not only get theory but also can prove and discover the concept
through experimental activities carried out.(Nugraha M, Saepuzaman, & Kirana,
2018).
DEVELOPING ACTIVITIES OR EXPERIMENT ON PHYSICAL
SCIENCE
In teaching –learning processis a fact where all subject live together with
different-different importance and in this process learning -learner-learning
centre are connect to each other. These three forms depend upon fact of
knowledge, reality of truth, discoveries of problem, investigation of solution
with the help of science. Science is a way of direction which gives the support
to rich the goal with huge number of findings, fact, trait, rules, information,
result and conclusion.
Science play very important role for systemized knowledge to discover
the environment and nature in each step. Science has a tool to search each step
of problem. Science has a technique to search or investigate process of nature
where find the reliable knowledge towards facts through observation,
identification description, experimentation, practically, theoretically,
investigation exploration of phenomenon that found in nature and environment.
 Nurturing the intellectual curiosity and skills.
 Knowledge and Understanding through learn, read, think, write and
speak.
 Nurturing Aesthetic sense and creativity.
 Imbibing the values (Scientific, moral, theoretical, Aesthetic).
 Developing problem solving nature, scientific attitude and Temper
 Engaging the students while planning, organising, executing analysing
and resulting the activity.
 Activities provide opportunities to develop important aspects(like concept
in scientific practices through hand on activity with science.
 Develop enthusiasm, analysing ability and skill toward activity.
Facilitating formation of group: Formation groups activity in class room.
Following steps are useful for formation of group in the class
 First decide to how task perform by group.
 To understand the learning objectives for designing the concept.
 For performing task what ability required.
 Help students for selecting the work according to intersect.
 What are the planning and outline of the work planned out?
 Divide the group according to work or activities need.
 For collection of data required library, book, and resources video clips.
Activity
1. Planning for selection of activity according to class.
2. Activity on different topics, different groups and coordination with work.
3. Make a list of selected topics and Howstudents can perform on it?
4. For activities what substance required.
5. How much time required for conducting activity?
6. After completion of activity write a report on it and present a report to
your teacher.
All steps are important to do an activity or experiment in science
teaching

Keep maintain the discussion between groups what they perform.
 Help them to understand the work and ethics of experiment.
 Help them to how to write the report on experiment and how to present it.
 Help them to how to write the report on experiment and how to present it
 Assess the student and give feedback on their work because it is
important to know the progress of student.
 Also, assessment important to know the experiment will organise in
proper and systemize manner by group.
Development of Report on Science:
Report allows to understand the experiment totheir mentor. Report is
divided in 6 steps. Science report steps are not fix sometimes it changes
according to manual or author. Report provides opportunity to students to show
the scientific attitude and temper. Report includes peace of information, original

1] Heading: By naming the experiment for identification of heading. Also write
performed date, name write peer group (Lab partner) and lastly your teachers’
name.
Objectives: Heading should be specific, clear and pinpointed. What will have to
do in experiment that should be reflect in title or heading?
2] Abstract: Abstract is the summarize content of your experiments it reflects
your result in few sentences or single short paragraph.
Objective: To emphasis the report through blueprint or mirror image of your
experiment with clarity of experiment in summary forms.
3] Theory: It is a like procedure and start with reason of lab activities theme of
experiment and brief presentation of ideas, thoughts, and good work for
experimentation, identify the symbols, apparatus use for experiment. Do not
write extra theory that is not important for experiment.

Objective:
 To acquire the knowledge by hands on experience.
 To explain the importance ofexperiment.
 To understand the hand on practice, rules of experiment.
 To understand the concept and how to do clarity of work that given by
instructor.
4] Experiment: Schematic and systematic presentation write in own word. In
this process result get through the experimental activities. Student should write
all the activity done in lab by their own observation. In this activity, student’s
critical thinking is sufficient to memorise or know the original and authentic
experience while attending the lab experiment in scientific manner and also
practices show by their performing ideas and intellectual thought. In this step a
student writes a schematic, simple, clear and concise information in own
wayand view. Experimentation is the one of the important steps of report
writing in science and also the 5th step of scientific method.
Objectives:
 To provide relevant progresses and method of your work.
 To know the etiquettes and rules of the lab and follow it.
 To understand the handling equipment/apparatus in lab
 To maintain the discipline.
5] Data Analysis:Inthis step numerical data presented in the form of table,

experimental data depends on theoretical concept and calculation.
Objective:
 To find the interpretation of data in numeric form.
 To calculate the data according lab work.
 To calculate the values.
6] Conclusion: The last step of conclusion describes the summarising the
experiment in the form of paragraph.
Objective: To put the information and result in the conclusion part and lastly
student concluded all the information of experiment in conclusion part.
Conclusion:
Experiment is an integral part of science and previous paragraph described that
without experiment science is incomplete. Experimentation is the best-known
way to check the originality and veracity of the scientific theories and scientific
phenomenon.Science activities helps all ages of childrento explore and enhance
the mechanics of the world. Through engaging experiments and hands-on
projects, young scientists will discover important scientific principles as they
create their own compass, generate electricity using potatoes or their own
bodies, investigate with homemade CSI kits, build a hovercraft, and explore the
science of foods by constructing and deconstructing their favourite snacks and
other different activity (Physical Science Activities & Experiments)
Science relies on the use and application of imagination to prompt new questions
and uncover breakthrough interpretation of new or unexpected findings. The role
that science plays in exploring and ultimately proving new theories about our
universe is possible because a basic structure exists to govern the conduct of
science-namely, the scientific method.(Reich, 2017)

Experimentation: Developing Five Experiments/Activities in science and Prepare a Report

  • 1. Experimentation: Developing Five Experiments/Activities in science and Prepare a Report Dr.Sonali N.Channawar Abstract: Education is source of knowledge where each and every individual involve through any reason for learning, literacy, experience, observation and interest. In every education stream reflect their identity through various manner out of them science is the very much high potential and important subject in education. Science is the study where we can find the fact, innovation, discoveries through experimentation and science activity which deals with environmental status. Science is only the subject who has ability to find the result in around the atmosphere through exploration and discovery in which process of Experimentation has fact finding ability. Itplays very important role in science because without experiments it is incomplete. Introduction: An experiment is a way of discovering the fact, problem, things and putting it where it is needed. There are some important experimental methods to use in different reasons in scientific method, experiments are the primary component and testing hypothesis for particular purpose (physical process) in favourable condition. Experiment is an integral part of science without experiment science is incomplete that why experiment play vital role in science for providing scientific knowedge.Experiments and other types of hands on activities are very important to student learning in the science classroom (Wikipedia source).Experiments can raise test scores and help a student become more engaged and interested in material they are learning, especially when used over time.(Stohr-Hunt:Patrica, 1996).Experiment are a way of presenting material that students actively experience and prove about what they are a learning ,students are totally involved in doing following a process ,observing an object, analysing ,proving and drawing their own conclusions about an object ,condition or process.Experiment activities can be seen as an activity that can train science process skill, scientific attitudes and a scientist’s way of thinking. Students not only get theory but also can prove and discover the concept through experimental activities carried out.(Nugraha M, Saepuzaman, & Kirana, 2018).
  • 2. DEVELOPING ACTIVITIES OR EXPERIMENT ON PHYSICAL SCIENCE In teaching –learning processis a fact where all subject live together with different-different importance and in this process learning -learner-learning centre are connect to each other. These three forms depend upon fact of knowledge, reality of truth, discoveries of problem, investigation of solution with the help of science. Science is a way of direction which gives the support to rich the goal with huge number of findings, fact, trait, rules, information, result and conclusion. Science play very important role for systemized knowledge to discover the environment and nature in each step. Science has a tool to search each step of problem. Science has a technique to search or investigate process of nature where find the reliable knowledge towards facts through observation, identification description, experimentation, practically, theoretically, investigation exploration of phenomenon that found in nature and environment.  Nurturing the intellectual curiosity and skills.  Knowledge and Understanding through learn, read, think, write and speak.  Nurturing Aesthetic sense and creativity.  Imbibing the values (Scientific, moral, theoretical, Aesthetic).  Developing problem solving nature, scientific attitude and Temper  Engaging the students while planning, organising, executing analysing and resulting the activity.  Activities provide opportunities to develop important aspects(like concept in scientific practices through hand on activity with science.  Develop enthusiasm, analysing ability and skill toward activity. Facilitating formation of group: Formation groups activity in class room. Following steps are useful for formation of group in the class  First decide to how task perform by group.  To understand the learning objectives for designing the concept.  For performing task what ability required.  Help students for selecting the work according to intersect.  What are the planning and outline of the work planned out?  Divide the group according to work or activities need.  For collection of data required library, book, and resources video clips.
  • 3. Activity 1. Planning for selection of activity according to class. 2. Activity on different topics, different groups and coordination with work. 3. Make a list of selected topics and Howstudents can perform on it? 4. For activities what substance required. 5. How much time required for conducting activity? 6. After completion of activity write a report on it and present a report to your teacher. All steps are important to do an activity or experiment in science teaching Fig: Activity Process in science teaching Learning Activity improve the result of experiment To grow up in environment To boost up the concept. To enhance and emphasis the part of application To develop the concept formation critical thinking, logical attitude and scientific attitude, scientific temperature. To developing rational thinking for generating what, why, where, who type question. To enrich the knowledge through activity and experiment. Toengage the learner in group for activity. Investing the truth Developing Activity (For enhancing the attitude towards Vision and objective that set-in mind Analyse the Fact Improve the result Concept Formation
  • 4. Fig 2: Learner Achievement Process Keep maintain the discussion between groups what they perform.  Help them to understand the work and ethics of experiment.  Help them to how to write the report on experiment and how to present it.  Help them to how to write the report on experiment and how to present it  Assess the student and give feedback on their work because it is important to know the progress of student.  Also, assessment important to know the experiment will organise in proper and systemize manner by group. Development of Report on Science: Report allows to understand the experiment totheir mentor. Report is divided in 6 steps. Science report steps are not fix sometimes it changes according to manual or author. Report provides opportunity to students to show the scientific attitude and temper. Report includes peace of information, original Learner Investigate the program Let them free Select the area Try it to solve Get some assumption They keenly observe their surrounding Interested field always improve the performance Make strategy for solving the problem Result and conclusion make them confident Analyse their experiments with their point of view Analyse their experiments with their critical thinking Analysing the data and compile for result and conclusion Evaluate the thing with positive scientific attitude
  • 5. data, perseverance toward work, engagingquality. Also bringthe confidence towards work, increase the degree of consistency in science and develop reflective thinking, reasoning and critical observationin experiment and lab work. 1] Heading: By naming the experiment for identification of heading. Also write performed date, name write peer group (Lab partner) and lastly your teachers’ name. Objectives: Heading should be specific, clear and pinpointed. What will have to do in experiment that should be reflect in title or heading? 2] Abstract: Abstract is the summarize content of your experiments it reflects your result in few sentences or single short paragraph. Objective: To emphasis the report through blueprint or mirror image of your experiment with clarity of experiment in summary forms. 3] Theory: It is a like procedure and start with reason of lab activities theme of experiment and brief presentation of ideas, thoughts, and good work for experimentation, identify the symbols, apparatus use for experiment. Do not write extra theory that is not important for experiment. Clear and concise document A short length document with clarity of any object Report Blueprint of work And reflect for any purpose in which scientific information flow with Result Abstract Completely self-contained way To brieflysummarise Single short paragraph Procedure result conclusion
  • 6. Objective:  To acquire the knowledge by hands on experience.  To explain the importance ofexperiment.  To understand the hand on practice, rules of experiment.  To understand the concept and how to do clarity of work that given by instructor. 4] Experiment: Schematic and systematic presentation write in own word. In this process result get through the experimental activities. Student should write all the activity done in lab by their own observation. In this activity, student’s critical thinking is sufficient to memorise or know the original and authentic experience while attending the lab experiment in scientific manner and also practices show by their performing ideas and intellectual thought. In this step a student writes a schematic, simple, clear and concise information in own wayand view. Experimentation is the one of the important steps of report writing in science and also the 5th step of scientific method. Objectives:  To provide relevant progresses and method of your work.  To know the etiquettes and rules of the lab and follow it.  To understand the handling equipment/apparatus in lab  To maintain the discipline. 5] Data Analysis:Inthis step numerical data presented in the form of table, graph, and charts. After experimentation steps data analysis process should Begin with idea On the basis of evidence Performing experiment in lab Create the theory step by step by using rules of experiment To find out natural phenomena New steps to learn lab experiment To gives new direction to lab work Acquire new knowledge with new concept
  • 7. beproceed. After data analysis result come out by calculation. Whole experimental data depends on theoretical concept and calculation. Objective:  To find the interpretation of data in numeric form.  To calculate the data according lab work.  To calculate the values. 6] Conclusion: The last step of conclusion describes the summarising the experiment in the form of paragraph. Objective: To put the information and result in the conclusion part and lastly student concluded all the information of experiment in conclusion part. Conclusion: Experiment is an integral part of science and previous paragraph described that without experiment science is incomplete. Experimentation is the best-known way to check the originality and veracity of the scientific theories and scientific phenomenon.Science activities helps all ages of childrento explore and enhance the mechanics of the world. Through engaging experiments and hands-on projects, young scientists will discover important scientific principles as they create their own compass, generate electricity using potatoes or their own bodies, investigate with homemade CSI kits, build a hovercraft, and explore the science of foods by constructing and deconstructing their favourite snacks and other different activity (Physical Science Activities & Experiments) Science relies on the use and application of imagination to prompt new questions and uncover breakthrough interpretation of new or unexpected findings. The role that science plays in exploring and ultimately proving new theories about our universe is possible because a basic structure exists to govern the conduct of science-namely, the scientific method.(Reich, 2017) Bibliography NugrahaM, U.
