This presentation includes various types of information which are precisely done at the time of internship. This includes Short detail of company, project, process, difficulties faced and some simple formulae to calculate the Quantity and estimation of materials used.
2. About the Company
Globe Group are in the Construction Industry from
35 years, however the Brand GLOBE has been
established in 1999.
Globe Group’s contributes in areas like
• Residential
• Industrial
• Commercial
• Hospitality and Mineral Industry.
Globe affiliates have been delivering successful
projects
• Dombivali
• Ambernath
• Murbad
• Navi Mumbai
• Pune
.
3. About the Project
Globe Paradise is the G+17 storey building
with ground as Parking lot and first floor is a
podium floor consisting of various amenities.
This is the tallest building in Dombivali with full
of amenities.
GLOBE PARADISE have made Globe Group
proud by booking around 40% of the total flats
in the Pre-Launch Exhibition in Dombivali Utsav
2015 itself.

9. 1. Water is added upto 20 litres with admixture of
200ml in the batch mixing drum.
2. One bag of P.P.C. is added in the hopper weighing
50 kgs.
3. Crushed Sand is added 75 kgs approx. with the
help of pharma n the hopper
4. 10 and 20 mm aggregates are added 150 kgs
approx. with the help of pharma in the hopper.
5. The hopper is then raised to fill up the mixing
drum mechanically
6. Mixed thoroughly 4 -5 mins and then carried to
the required place with the help of wheel barrows
7. In an single batch, upto 280 kgs of concrete is
batched.
11. Aligning the formwork to
starter
Aligning the column vertically
by means of plumb bob
Placing of beam support
stock
Placing of beams and slabs formwork
on Beam support stock
Construction of Starter
Use of Adjustable
Jack Post
13. Transporting Concrete with
help of lift
Pouring concrete from tilting mixer
to wheelbarrow
Pouring concrete in formwork
by gamellaCompacting Concrete with the
help of vibrator
14. Things which are manipulated by workers or labor while
concreting and mixing and should be avoided.
Excessive use of water while mixing to save the quantity of materials.
Use of sand or aggregates which is just above the ground surface causing the
impurities to come with sand or aggregates while filling in pharma
Minimized mixing time to fasten the work and to achieve the target.
Addition of water in concrete after concrete mix to get the fluency while pouring
the concrete in formwork.
Minimized use of vibrator.
Plastering work in early morning to hide the honeycombing caused in slabs, beams
or columns due to inadequate filling or vibration of concrete.
15. Things which are manipulated by workers or labor while
tying or placing reinforcement and should be avoided.
Improper spacing between steel to fasten the work and achieve target.
Improper bending of legs of stirrups.
Theft of steel in order to get scrap value of steel.
Use of fully corroded steel to avoid the wastage of steel.
Use of less steel as compared to the required steel to gain profit.
Reduction in development length
19. Size (mm) Steel Weight in kgs
Concrete Long. Bars Lateral ties Total
300 x 1000 20- 25 dia 1962.2 327.93 43.1 2333.25
Simplified Formulae to find the weight of materials
1. Total wt. = Volume x Density of concrete in kg/cu.m
2. Long. Bars wt. = [Nos of Bars x {Floor Height + 50d + 2d}x {(d x d)/162}]
3. Lateral ties wt. = Nos of different rings x {(perimeter +12d+10d) for per ring}
4. Concrete wt. = Total wt. – Long. Bars wt. – Lateral Ties
