The health center, a primary care ambulatory site, is affiliated with Northwell Health, the
third largest health care system in the country. My responsibilities include the following:
• Coordination of the Administrator’s Outlook Calendar, appointments, meetings,
conference calls and correspondence, including memos to the staff of 52.
• Coordination and planning of meetings and events in conference rooms at the health
center for the staff, the hospital/health system employees and community groups.
• Organization of health fairs, conferences pertaining to health related topics and
fundraising events at the health center.
• Monthly preparation of schedules for health center providers in four departments:
Adult Medicine, Pediatrics, OB/GYN and Specialty Clinics, revising and distributing
schedules as necessary and schedules for two conference rooms for groups numbering
up to 110.
• Tracking of staff hours, paid time off and requests for schedule changes in computer
payroll system and collaborating with the Administrator on bi-weekly payroll.
• Working with the Administrative Support Associate on directing incoming/outgoing
mail, phone calls and distribution of faxes and correspondence to medical and
administrative departments.
• Recording, writing and distribution of minutes for the Community Advisory Board
Meetings, General Staff Meetings, and Quality Assurance-Professional Improvement
Meetings
• Preparation of correspondence, reports and the organization of written materials, in
particular the regular updating of Policy and Procedure manuals.
• Point of contact for special events in which the health center participates: Community
events, health fairs, educational workshops and seminars, celebratory occasions and
fundraisers.
• Preparation and updating of Excel spread sheets as per the requests of the
Administrative team. Examples include the tracking of data for specific events held at
the center, tracking expiration dates of provider’s licenses and certifications, recording
of data, and maintenance of employee files.
• Organization of the health center’s participation in annual community events,
highlighting the significance of the center’s relevance to the population it serves.
• Purchasing for the needs of the Administrative, Environmental, Billing and Medical
Record areas of the health center; managing the corporate credit card account and

2. invoice reconciliation; coordinating reimbursement for conferences, seminars and
functions in which the clinical staff participates.
