 Evaluate and measure supplier performance in accordance with the standards
implemented by the company and make recommendations on improving
supplier performance standards.
 Evaluate supplier sales and profitability performance. Formulate and manage
action plans to improve performance with suppliers and liaise with
Regional/National buyers where necessary.
 Building and Maintain good working long-term relationships with a diverse
range of customers, Suppliers and other business stakeholders.
 Drive the business by maintaining and achieving margin budgets, monitoring of
margins and stock holding budget. Analyse the marker and industry trends.
Analyse sales performance and forecast future sales volumes to maximise
profits
 Monitor and maintain price competitiveness and reaction through negotiating
deals and promotional plans and activities with suppliers and also liaise with
Regional/head office buyers on further promotion support.
 Manage promotions inventory and sales performance. Negotiates in-store
promotions with suppliers to improve sales. Make recommendations to buyers
on suggested promotion requirements for my categories
 Liaise constantly with National and Regional Category buyers with regards to
planning and listing of new products and ranges.
 Manage category performance and assortment by ensuring that the best sellers
reach their full potential and well exposed; and slow sellers are discontinued
 Negotiate space billings and free stock for back margin support
 Manage reduction of markdowns promptly and efficiently.
 Working together with Stock Control to ensure Shrinkage plans are
implemented and managed to reduce inventory loss
