Comana is a village in Giurgiu county, Muntenia,
Romania.
Comana commune is famous for tourist spots such as the
Monastery of the same name, built during the ruler Radu Serban,
which was built on the ruins raised by Vlad Tepes, over five
hundred years ago; the reservation of the thorns and the Romanian
peony reserve (unique reservations in our country); the Comana
Natural Park, which is built on about twenty-five thousand hectares
and, besides having a vast expanse, is also the largest protected area
in the Romanian Plain, where tourists can check in, relax and
delight traditional dishes at Comana's restaurant.
Romanian peony is found in the sunny places of the park,
and in celebration of the uniqueness of the peony reserve, the locals
organize in May each year the 'peony celebration'.
