One of the things I enjoy most about working for Starbucks is the commitment to the communities in which
we serve. I have always admired Howard for the idea of being “A performance driven company through the
lens of humanity.” I have tried to make this a reality in my community by leading and participating multiple
community service projects while utilizing the Starbucks community service website.

Frederick Multiple Sclerosis Walk Yearly Organizer, 2009 – Current • Raise money for awareness about this devastating disease • Provide coffee donations for event volunteers and walkers NIH Children’s Inn family Dinners Organizer 2015 • Recruit volunteers to help stock, cook, and serve food for families undergoing treatment at the National Institutes of Health, Bethesda Maryland Chesapeake Bay Foundation Reef Ball Restoration Project April 2013 Farm Clagett Hill Yearly, April 2013 – 2016 • Efforts to sustain and improve conditions in the fragile Chesapeake Bay and surrounding watersheds • Clagett Hill farm also provides all food grown to the Maryland Food Bank A Wider Circle Silver Spring Metro, 2012 • Help with collection of furniture for underprivileged families Maryland Food Bank Multiple Occasions 2010-2016 • Assist in the collection, sorting and organization of food supplies • Box and store foods for those in need to collect EDUCATION Higher education has been an important pursuit in my life and I have had the privilege to study at multiple institutions part time in conjunction with my developing career. Opportunities offered by Starbucks have allowed me to pursue my education through Strayer University, and more recently through Arizona State University. I look forward to graduating with my B.S. in Business Sustainability and encouraging the same of other Starbucks partners.
