1. OPERATION THEATRE:
INTRODUCTION

2. INTRODUCTION:-
An operating theatre is a special room in a hospital where
surgeons carry out medical operations. Its also known as
operating room.

3. DEFINITION:-
“Operation theatre is a block in hospital where any
surgical procedure is performed with complete
management”.

4. O.T. SET UP:-

5. OPERATION THEATRE IS MADE AT PLACE WHERE:-
ऑपरेशन थिएटर ऐसे स्िान पर बनाया जाता है जहाां :-
Where is no noise.
No pollution
Safe environment.
Get off the dust.
Get off the insects.
Prevent unnecessary people.

6. BLOCKS IN OPERATION THEATRE:-
Changing room.
Reception & office.
Scrubbing room.
Utility room.
Laboratory.
Store room.
Laundary room.
Anesthesia room.
Pre operative room.
Post operative room.
Procedure room or operation theatre.

7. Reception:- its situated in the front of O.T.
block. Its have every record about patient.
Changing room:- its for O.T. staff changing
the gown, shoes, mask etc. Before the enter
or exit to O.T. room.
Scrubbing room:- its for ready for staff for
surgery and hand wash before surgery .
Utility room:- in this room many items are
available like-used surgical instrument,
bowl, kidney tray, mackintosh etc.

8. Store room:- in this room stored O.T. Items
which are daily usable. Like-O2mask,
medicines, gloves etc.
Laundry room:- in this room stored all types
of cloths which are sterilized. Like-bed sheet,
gown etc.
Anesthesia room:- before surgery given the
anesthesia to patient by anesthetist.
Pre operative room:- here check the patient
and his reports before operation.

9. Operation theatre:- its for surgical procedure.
In this room every facilities are available.like- O.T.
table,ot light, infusion pump, etc.
Post operative room:-in this bring the patient from
O.T. room directly.it is like ICU .
