1. Experience in operating instruments & panels for the successful operation of the Plant.
• The furnace off-gas (sulphur di oxide) flows through a boiler section capable of
producing 45T of steam @66bar pressure, after boiler it flows through an ESP
(electrostatic precipitator). The gasses are taken to the Sulphuric acid plant through the
above sections by an induced draft fan maintaining negative pressure till the throat of the
furnace. In-between other plant gasses are also mixed in a mixing chamber.
• All the way to sulphuric acid plant the negative pressures and gas temperatures are
well maintained such that there will be no emissions from the duct, thus increasing the
recovery of the sulphur to sulphuric acid.
• All the parameters are controlled through DCS. If any parameter variation is observed
then it is checked with the field operator/Corrected through engineering department.
• Active follow up with all control room operators as Supervisor for smooth plant
operation especially during plant shutdown/start up, rainy and windy season.
• Proper handover (issue of work permit, isolate-electrically, mechanically, de-energizing
the system and tag it out (LOTO)) and line up of the equipment for maintenance/shut
down/Start up activities.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
• Monitoring the plant parameter through DCS and ensuring smooth operation of the plant
by taking any corrective action to deal with process.
• 12 years’ in Central Control Room operational experience with Distributor Control
System (DCS) operating Scrubber, Gas handling, Boiler, Acid reactions, Acid
Concentrations (Vacuum application), cooling water, FO and HSD booster oil pumps
and smelting operations.

2. • Direct field operator for field checking or action when a correction needed in DCS for
smooth plant operation.
• Deep knowledge of plant ESD and interlocks.
• Experience in safe start-up and shutdown following the SOP’s.
• Prepare daily process plant report.
• Vacuum application for concentrations, cooling water pump and storage operation.
• Experience with Safe Work Permitting system, electrical & mechanical lockout and
tagging procedures.
• Experience in plant commissioning and start-up activities (New Phosphoric acid plant
commissioning at Ma’aden Phosphate Company, Saudi Arabia, Boiler, Expansion
project commissioning of Reactors, Vacuum chambers, and Tank farms).
• Awareness and interpretation of engineering drawings (P&IDs).
• Operational experience with power generation equipment (Boiler DCS) and steam super
heating systems.
• Supervisory experience in gas field and boiler plant processing.
