appealing. I’d want it to be in top
centre of the magazine, but making
sure the cover star does not cover
it as most music magazine tend to
do the same and id want to pull
away from the trend.

disguise the differences.

5. TARGET AUDIENCE
My target audience will be members of our modern day youth culture. I would like my
magazine to be aimed at mainly older teens who are still in education as well as young adults
who are either at university or working. I will channel my magazine to suit and relate to the
everyday lives of young people, therefore creating more of an appeal to my desired age and
social group. To achieve this, I would include regular material which would be humorous and
relatable such as articles about the backgrounds of certain artists, prize draws and concert
tickets –this would intrigue the reader as it would be someone they look up to or just find an
interest in.
6. CONTENT
The content of my magazine will include the latest news about artists, gossip, latest fashion trends & advice. I
would want to include interviews with British and American artists who are currently trending.
I will also want to include artists who are named as the faces of the urban society.
To make my magazine stand out, I will include segments such as regular interviews with urban artist, information
on upcoming artists and many more. To also make my magazine stand out more and be creative will include
regular questionnaires which are designed for a younger audience, reviews on latest movies, and top 10 lists - for
example; 'Top 10 most talked about rappers’.
I would include a lot of adverts which relate to the genre such as upcoming albums, latest trainers & events within
London & the UK.
The magazines social media and website will be featured on each page to increase publicity.
