2. Q magazine has also inspired my magazine through its chosen music genre. Q features music such as, pop and rock but I will be
focusing on the genre Pop for my music magazine and take inspiration and ideas from there Pop aspects of the magazine. Q
magazine has consistency as it uses red throughout the front cover to match the logo. Q magazines target audience is mostly older
people aged 30-40, not so much teenagers and adults. However some of there magazines are aimed at the younger generation by
using someone on the front cover that is current in the younger generation e.g. Cheryl Cole. Therefore I am only going to use certain
magazines as inspiration for my music magazine as I'm targeting my magazine at the younger generation. Q magazine goes against
the convention of having the main image over the masthead.
3. Billboard magazine has inspired my magazine through its chosen music genre. Billboard features music such as, POP. RnB but the one they
focus on the most is Pop and this is the genre I will be focusing on in my music magazine. This will be shown in my magazine and will follow the
layout of Billboard, as I will use the same colours e.g. black throughout my magazine.
I will be following the conventions of Billboard magazine as they are aimed at the same target audience I'm aiming my magazine at.
Billboards target audience is ages 16 to 26. My target audience wont be this wide, as I'm staying to the target audience of 16-24, but it still fits
into the target audience of Billboard.Many billboard magazines use a plain coloured background.This gives me an idea to take through to my
magazine as it doesn't distract the reader from anything on the front cover.
