Professional Profile
Career Objective
To be the best in my field and together with my fellow employees create the most successful
business attainable. Through this process I want to grow and excel in every project that is presented
to me.
Personal Profile
I am passionate, energetic, determined and honorable.
Career Summary
Initially I pursued a career in the legal industry. I soon realised that my strengths and love of golf
equipped me better for engaging people in a sales environment. This prompted my move into retail
and I kicked of my sales career at The Golfers Club in 2006 where I became the top sales
representative in my first year. I was promoted to store manager in 2008.
I gained 5 years of experience in retail through spending 3 years as store manager and 2 years as
sales representative. I gained line management experience while managing 8 sales representatives
and 4 general staff as store manager at The Golfers Club.
In 2011 I was approached by CMS Coal to head up their Key accounts and Logistics departments. In
the 2 years spent at CMS Coal I gained valuable experience in negotiations, conflict management
and creating business and logistics strategies to maximise nett income.
In 2013 I was approached by one of the leaders in the retail industry, Mr Rob Sadler, to join him as a
consultant at Retail Inc. and roll out an innovative Tenant Support Programme exclusively for Pareto
Ltd, one of South Africa’s leading property owners. The programme was designed to grow sales and
profitability of retailers, provide specialist advice on leasing and retailer sustainability, improve the
nett income and value of the properties and ultimately reduce risk in 5 shopping centres across
South Africa.
In 2014 Pareto opted to employ me as Retail Manager for Cresta Shopping centre where I’m still
based. In the 3 years at Cresta under my partial guidance the centre turnover grew by 9%, high risk
tenants were reduced by 40%, vacancies were reduced to under 1% and arrears improved to under
3%. This was achieved while managing trade, tenant relocations and disruptions from a full centre
revamp.
