3. AUDIENCE
My project is aimed at 15+. As it involves violence I
don’t think its appropriate for any younger ages.
As violence is one of the main factors of my
project I feel it is more appealing to males,
especially younger boys as violence is the mostly
played genre of games played by boys there age.
In terms of social status, my project is neither
aimed at lower or higher class and can be enjoyed
by anyone.
4. RATIONALE
• Throughout the year my knowledge of things
such as photoshop, video editing and sound has
increased vastly. I have learnt that the timing of
the video and sound is crucial to make a video
look good and more professional. One thing
that has helped massively is the fact that we had
to time our previous music video with the sound
and made sure it cut to beat, making it easier to
get the sound affects in time with my game.
After practising previously making magazines, I
found that I was a fan of using graphics pads to
draw extra detail over the top of my picture, to
give it to more of an affect and to make it more
appealing to the audiences eyes.
5. PROJECT
CONCEPT
• I want to make my whole project around the
idea of survival of the fittest. The aim is to stay
live as long as possible and be the last man
standing with the small amount of supplies they
have. When making my game I will ensure it has
an element of competition to make it more
appealing for my audience. In terms of
designing the magazine cover I want it to stand
out and be appealing to anyone and not just a
specific category of people. I will research what
the most popular genre of games is and what
category of people they all fall under, so I can
make sure my project is appealing to anyone
and everyone.
6. PRODUCTION
TECHNIQUES
• In terms of sound effects, I will just use my
phone and its mic to record with but will have to
make sure it doesn’t pick up any background
noise. To take the picture for my magazine
cover, I will use a cannon 2000d for a more
professional look. If I had the facilities I would
have used a green screen to take a picture in
front of for my magazine so I could have
inserted the background for a smoother look.
7. EVALUATION
• My main idea for evaluation is to send/share my
project to others to ask for their thoughts and
ideas about my project, and use their feedback
to show if my project was successful or not and
if it appealed to my audience. As well as this I
reflect daily on my work, which is also helps me
see if my project is doing well.
