2. Audience feedback
• The audience feedback I received on both my first draft
and final ancillary products helped me develop and
evaluate my ideas. I was able to base my design for
both the magazine front cover and the film poster on
what my target audience wanted, as my target
audience was partly my fellow peers.
• After initially sketching out my ideas for the two
products I presented them to the target audience and
received feedback depending on what they were
expecting. I was then able to adjust my final desogns
accordingly.
4. The process of acting upon my
feedback...
• After I had gained all my film clips for my final
teaser trailer I roughly edited them together and
then showed the result to my fellow class mates
for feedback on how I can portray my storyline
and the emotions between the two characters,
therefore making my teaser trailer more
effective. I was advised to make the transitions
smoother, so that the clips flowed better
together, and to go through the emotions one by
one and not to keep changing them from happy
to sad etc. The feedback I received back on my
soundtrack, however, was all very positive.
5. In summary
• Overall I managed to gain feedback, use it and then act
upon it on all of my drafts on all of my products. All the
feedback that I received I found very helpful, especially
for my ancillary tasks as I had never used the program
‘InDesign’ before and never had any previous
experience of designing a film poster and magazine
front cover.
• If I had not received feedback on any of my pieces then
my final versions would never have been so effective
and realistic. Therefore, I have learned that receiving
feedback, even if it is not from your specific target
audience, it is always helpful and will improve my
work.
