The student learned many important lessons when progressing from their preliminary film to the full film. They realized issues like camera shaking due to not using a tripod, background noise, and loose editing. They learned skills like using different camera angles and shots, following the 180 degree rule and using match on action. They also learned the importance of sound quality, dubbing dialogue, and adding sound effects. Additional lessons included understanding mise-en-scene, representation, and using better editing software. Overall, the student learned that filmmaking requires extensive planning, research, storyboarding, and more than just shooting and editing.

1. 7) Looking back at your preliminary task, what do you feel you have learnt in the progression
from it to the full?
Answer:
In my preliminary film, there were too many flaws that they cannot be counted. For example the
camera was shaking too much because I did not use a tripod stand. There was too much noise in
the background. The editing was also were loose. But as I advanced through the year, I got to
know different things that I could have used in my prelim. The tripod stand, a professional
camera, a good editing software and etc. I got to know that there camera is used from different
angles and various shots are taken by them. I learnt the 180 degree rule, what match on action
is and the shot reverse shot. In my prelim, I did not use a variety of shots which made it a little
boring. The match on action was also poor. The sound quality was extremely poor and I realized
that for my final film, I would have to dub all the dialogues and add sound effects also to make
my final film better. I learnt that there is something called mise-en-scene. It is very important to
know what it is to make a good film. The representation of a film also matters a lot. It tells us
what a particular shot or frame is trying to tell us. I learnt that there are different editing
softwares and the one I used for my prelim was not a good one. So I learned from my mistake
and used adobe premiere pro cs3 to edit my final AS media film. I also learned that film making
is not just about shooting and editing. There is a lot more to it than just that. Frist the directors
do a research and plan their film. They make surveys and use the results to help market their
product. They divide scenes and shots and make a sort of storyboard that helps a lot during
shooting. Or rather is the basis of what the director is going to shoot.
