1. CHILDHOOD OBESITY​ through the
Eyes of a Child

C​hildhood Obesity is no joke at all
H​elp me to have a healthy lifestyle by making smart food
choices and being physically active
I​ need your encouragement and support by being a role
model and reminding me of ways to stay healthy
L​ove me the way I am regardless of my body size, shape, or
weight
D​o not take my health for granted
H​elp me to have a healthy tomorrow and a bright future
O​h no, my doctor told me I am overweight and if I am not
careful, I will be obese
O​besity will make me have many problems and maybe even
make me die
D​o fun things with me to help me stay active and away from
the television, video games, phones, and tablets

2. O​besity has no cure so I have to do my best to prevent it and
not be sick with it
B​e patient with me and let’s celebrate my successes and
failures because it is not easy to lose weight
E​ducate me about ways to prevent and overcome obesity
S​ay “no” to obesity with me
I​ do not want to become obese when I grow up
T​hank you for being there and understanding my feelings
about my own health
​Y​ou and I can support each other on our healthy lifestyle
journey
