2. The opening sequence of our film opening sequence have been
created from 3rd point of view. Me and my group have chosen to do
this because so that the audience can only watch and observe what
is going on rather than getting involved in it.
My thriller will attract it’s target audience by many different ways
such as through it’s Mise-en-scene and the music that has been
played in the film. The music at the beginning of our opening
sequence is very upbeat and this is how young people are
associated and because our music is very happy at the beginning, it
creates a nice atmosphere. The Mise-en-scene shows that the walls
are pink and what Elise is wearing seems very fashionable. This
attracts our audience because girls like pink and it symbolizes
innocence and femininity and what Elise is wearing is what all the
other girls wear as well.
3. Another way in which the opening sequence of my film will attract it’s
audience is by the plot it self because it is relatable. In the opening
sequence, we see Elise who is 20 getting killed by Amanda when she is
on her way to meet her friends. This will attract our target audience
who are 15 – 25 because this age group are the ones who usually go
out to meet up with their friends so this will create fear as they will
question themselves about what if it happens to them and this will
make my film more interesting as they would want to watch more to
see what would happen. However, boys who are 15 – 25 would be less
scared as boys are seen to be strong, masculine so they will not be as
frightened as girls who are 15 – 25 years old. This shows that my film
would be very popular, this is because it attracts both genders. It
would attract males because boys love fighting, horror and mysterious
whereas girls do like a horror a little but because it relates to them
more, they would want to see what they should do to avoid putting
themselves in danger.
