2. Questionnaire
After completing our
questionnaire we found out
what our target audience liked
and how to target that
effectively with their needs.
Also being the same age has
benefitted us because we like
similar aspects as our target
audience.
3. Costume
One thing we considered that attracted our target audience is the
clothing that our actor and actress were wearing. The clothing they did
have on allowed our target audience of 16-25 to relate to thwm
because it fits in well with our theme of social realism. Whilst also
staying appealing to them.
4. Actor/Actress
Zibran Ahmed, 17 from South London played the
character of Jay. He is of a similar age of our target
audience allowing Traumatised to attract to them.
He has had no experience with acting before but
we thought he has done a good job portraying his
character.
Gielliane Gaa, 18, from South London played
the character of Emily. She is also of a similar
age of our target audience. This allowed the
target audience to feel more intrigued by her
and maybe relate to her. She has had
experience in acting and this allowed us to
work efficiently with her.
5. Captivate
As a group we had to think about what would intrigue and captivate our target
audience and allow them to become engaged with our short film introduction.
One thing we found is using a voice over with a blank screen at the beginning
of the two minute clip. This allowed our target audience to know what is
happening and how things begun. We also used a voice over in the last 15
seconds or so. This gave our audience an insight to how ‘Emily’ was feeling and
allowed them to connect with her.
We used varying shots between happy scenes and violent flashbacks scenes to
allow our target audience to absorb the plot and have a good understanding of
why this is happening and how things can and did change. These types of shots
allowed us to link to our genre of social realism because relationships like this
happens everyday with in the world.
