Casting
In many teen spy movies the actor who portrays the role of the
main character is usually a well known celebrity, this makes
someone who may not like the genre ‘Spy’ still watch the movie
as one of their favourite actors may be starred in it
For example in so undercover the main character is portrayed by
Miley Cyrus who is a very well known children’s actress and singer
from the hit show Hannah Montana. This may have been to get
young girls to watch the movie as many of her fans are young
teenagers.

Another example is Agent Cody Banks where the main character
is played by Frankie Muniz or more commonly known as Malcolm
from Malcolm in the middle. This may have been to attract
comedy fans as well as Frankie Muniz’s as he has a big fan base of
adults as well as young people.
In some other spy movies, the main character is usually shown as
an ‘ordinary’ person who’s usually bullied in school. We then see
something extraordinary that happens and there a huge
transformation.
As we are only doing an opening scene, we might choose to not
do this as we won’t have enough time so we might start with them
already a spy pretending to be an unpopular/new student.

Target Audience
As our movie genre is teen Spy which is a hybrid of action
and mystery, our target audience is young people from
around the ages of 12-23. Our target gender is Female as
our main character is a girl however the spy aspect of the
movie may make it appealing to male viewers as well.
