HBL (HABIB BANK LIMITED)
Joined HBL in March 1980 and availed pre-mature retirement in Feb 2016, during my services in HBL I had got the
opportunity to work and learn in various departments of the bank, in Head office, H.R, Centralized Department and
in different Branches from typist, officer, in-charge to Manager Level. My last assignment was Manager Teller and
Services in HBL Napier Road Commercial Sub-Centre Karachi and I was supervising the our all branch Cash,
Clearing, Remittances, Bankers Çheques, Utility Bills along with assisting and guiding staffs for advances (credits)
and Export Re-Financing transactions handling.
Experience
Manage Teller and Services From March 2013 to February 2016
Responsibilities:
• Supervising and monitoring the our all branch Cash Transactions, considering the overall branch cash retention
limit
• Preparation and maintenance of insurance in case of excess cash
• Monitoring the ongoing cash position to call for or surrender of excess cash to Vault
• Supervising the FC Cash in USD, GBP and EURO as well considering the ratio
• Supervising the overall remittances, Banker’s Cheques from issuance to settlement and cancellation, online
banking for transfer of funds within and other cities.
• Supervising the Clearing Cheques, internal Transfer (within branch) and other online branches from all over
Pakistan.
• Supervising the utility bill transactions, their reporting and submission of relevant statements to concerned
offices for the settlement.
• Handling unclaimed deposit, maintain their records updates, timely preparation and submission of relevant
statements for HOK and SBP submission.
• Supervising ATMs, considering the cash position and requirement
• Assisting RMs. and Marketing as one bank one team to inject new business, handling with old customers to
meet the Deposit and Advances targets
• Visits to valued and new customers with Marketing team to discuss their issues and their exception better and
specialized services to them.
• Assisting and guiding staff for advances (credits) and Export Re-Financing transactions handling.
Manager Advances From June 2006 to March 2013
Worked as a Manager / In-Charge Advance in HBL Napier Road Commercial Sub-Centre Karachi and
supervising total Portfolio of About 1500 M in various Commercial and Trade Products like Export Refinance
Part-I & II, Running Finance, Demand Finance, Cash Finance, FATR, FAPC, FIM, FAFB, and FCIF

Responsibilities:
• Responsible for coordinating credit and financial activities and obtaining payments for import/export
operations and adjustments / settlement of finances i.e. FATR, FIM, FAFB, FCIF and FAPC etc
• Act as an advisor on matters of tariffs, markets, and federal and foreign regulations.
• Ensure that paperwork for finances are completed
• Accurately, in a timely manner and according to SBP laws and Regulations.
• Interact with business customers to answer questions and resolve problems.
• Advice on international Commercial and Trade finance related issues.
• Handle day-to-day operational issues associated with Advances.
