Information on editing our opening

2. By making our opening successful, we needed to edit to make the piece
suspenseful and complex. Our group never edited before, therefore we had
to learn completely how to edit, this included the basic knowledge of using
premier pro, this implies transitions, effects, sound and many more
techniques.

3. From the coursework, we have learnt how
to use basic skills such as how to trim and
rearrange clips, as well as bring in audio and
add transitions. Moreover we applied special
effects to expand our editing skills, such as
adjusting the colour, moving and stretching
the clips. Also the use of track motion
which we used on the title sequence to
create more suspense to relate it more to
the general idea of a thriller opening.

4. As you can see in this image, we’ve also
used other complex techniques like the
adjustment layer to apply the same effect
on all the clips. We’ve also used elements
of After Effects for our clips to
incorporate into our opening. We’ve
learnt all these techniques through
watching tutorials online as well as
looking at other film opening to give us
the inspiration on editing ideas.

5. We also used Premier Pro for creating our production
logo, improving it by importing a moving image, also we
have changed the colour to all black to make the logo
more professional, and adding a text to finish.
