5) Marking strategies
6) Egs of technology/apps that could be used in lessons
7) Independent Learning
8) Should we increase testing/exam practice/timed work
in the subject area? How?
9) Specific focus on a unit/text/SOW
10)Strategies for inviting subject reps to subject team
meetings?
11)Strategies for making AFL really clear to learners
12)Can we assess any of the effects on learners? (Joanne
provided a great handout on this in session 1)
13)Time for ‘closing the loop’
Reminder of suggested activities to use to explore the areas
above
1) Spin the bottle
2) Roll the dice scenario game
3) Stop Start Continue
4) Snowballing
5) Rich Pictures
6) WWW-EBI (What works well – even better if analysis)
Reminder of suggested strategies to try out re: meetings
1) Change the chair
2) Pre reading/viewing (Ted Talks?) – ask a team
member to summarise and begin discussion on it
3) Change location of the meetings
4) Swapshop – everyone brings along a teaching/learning
strategy to ‘swap’ with others in the team
5) More frequent but short meetings – outside mtg
schedule? Over lunch? Early morning? Individually
arranged by teams in order to ensure the ‘closing of the
loop’
