2. What is house style?
• The expression house style refers to the
specific usage and editing conventions followed by writers and
editors to ensure stylistic consistency in a particular publication
or series of publications (newspapers, magazines, journals,
websites, books).
• House-style guides (also known as style sheets or stylebooks)
typically provide rules on such matters as abbreviations, capital
letters, numbers, date formats, citations, spelling, and terms of
address.

3. Mast-Head:
The Mast-head of a
magazine is probably one of
the most important
components of a magazine
as the font of your mast head
makes it knowable and gives
it an identity. These are the
mast-heads that I came
across in search of the
perfect font of my Mast-head

4. After going through a lot of fonts, I
finally decided to go with this font
as I feel like this font gives a unique
signature look. I really like how it’s
so bold and stands out. However, I
haven’t decided the color yet. I will
decide that when I take the final
photograph for the cover of my
magazine and see which color
goes best on it.

5. Color Palette
There are a lot of combinations that I
could go with. I can’t decide any one
as I feel that the color palette should
be done according to the
photographs. It should be decided in
accordance with everything. The font,
the photograph, the placement, the
puff and so on and so, I’ve decided to
choose my color palette accordingly
at that time and to experiment with
different colors

6. Cover Lines and Tag lines:
• The cover lines are what catches the attention of the readers
and therefore, they should be very catchy and interesting. They
should make the reader want to buy the magazine. They lead
the readers to what is inside the magazine. I haven’t decided
my cover lines yet as I’m working hard on it because I want
them to be perfect. However, I will keep you guys updated and
will let you know what they are as soon as I decide them.

7. General Placement:
• For the general placement of my magazine, I will most probably
follow the draft from my preliminary task earlier. However, my
placement and ideas won’t be restricted to that. I will try out
different angles of everything and then decide the place of the
conventions, seeing where they look best at.
