2. I began taking my chosen image and using the following effects to
make it fit with my colour scheme and stand out:
Black and white filter,
Outer glow on model,
Focus on model by blurring the background,
Adding a slight shadow on each corner,
Enhancing the light on my model.

3. To create my masthead I…
selected the typography I wanted,
made the text the size I wanted,
added a 3d shadow effect.
4. I then added the main cover line using the text tool,
I decided to go with the style ‘Stencil Regular’ as I
think it fits in with my genre,
I then made it to the size that I wanted (making sure
that it was smaller than the Masthead) and positioned
it to where most magazines have their main cover
lines.
5. I then added 4 other cover lines to my magazine,
I chose to use 4 as most magazines use 3-5,
I decided to make the artists names in bold, capitals
and larger than the article information to make it
capture the readers attention.
6. I then added the barcode, issue, date and price,
I cropped the barcode to the size I wanted and turned
it on the side and angled the text around it to make it
clear to see.
