1. Looking back to your preliminary
task, what do you feel that you have
learnt in the progression from it to
the full product?
Andrew Adegasoye
2. Coventions
I have learnt that the front cover model must be of greater focus to the
magazine , the preliminary task features a long shot whereas the music
magazine shows a mid shot. It is a general convention of a magazine for the
shot to be a mid shot at least if not a close up
I have positioned my sell
lines better, the music
magazine doesn't cover
the artist like the music
mag does
I have learnt to
keep the
masthead of this
type in the top
left corner
I have also learnt to tailor
the design of my
magazine according to
the genre.
3. I have learnt to position items on my contents page better as I
became more aware of the conventions used in a music
Contents magazine for example…

4. Summary of journey
I have learnt and become aware of the various aspects required to construct
a magazine . For example , research & planning, analysis , drafting and re
drafting. The school magazine prepared me initially for what it would be
like to construct the real thing.
Constructing the magazine has allowed me to understand greater the
workload I must manage when creating a magazine, especially in a time
pressured environment. I have learnt the conventions of a magazine and I
have been able to practically apply knowledge of these conventions to a
real project.
