This is my first script idea to use as a base to start off my documentary.

1. DocumentaryScript
Starts with sound effects – music plays in the background of the playing footage
of the outside of the school
Voiceover: CardinalNewman Catholic School
Then cuts to more footage of studentsrunning around the playground.

Voiceover: More than 150 students attend here and all 150 of them arefacing
the challenges that are ahead of them

Voiceover: In this series we follow the teachers
Cuts to footage of canteen during break. Voiceovercontinues
Voiceover: Their fellow students in year 10
Cuts to footage of the sixth form building. Voiceovercontinues
Voiceover: And we also look into the lives of the students attending sixth form
Cut to the opening title scene were the footage of a hand held shotof a student
walking along with a view of the otherstudents. Title of the documentaryshows
in the top left hand side. Music endsand there is the sound of the bell ringing.
Fadesto the footage of a classroom of Year10’s.

2. Bell rings and showsclip of the schoolgroundswhile children are making their
way to class
Voiceover: After class the year 10 students have just found out that they have
an early exam coming up in the next week, and they aren’ttaking the news well.
Cuts to a group of studentsand theyare talking aboutthe upcoming exam #
Student1: (Mostly improvised) I can’tbelieve that they have actually done this
to us
Student2: (Mostly improvised) I know right, it’s actually a joke there’sno way
I’m going to get a high grade
Student3: (Mostly improvised) I mean I’m notgonna turn up, I just can’tbe
asked.
This conversation continuesuntilthe bellsoundsagain. Sad music is playing
Voiceover: But it’s not only the Year 10’swho arefeeling the pressure

Voiceover: We asked the Year 13’show they find it as they go into their final
year.
