• Teaching approach: The lesson is based on the TPR, and organized
through
the PPP procedure (Harmer,2010). It will also be used the TPR.
• Materials and resources: dolls (Susan and Alan), the song, a copy of the
face, coloured pencils
• Pedagogical use of ICT in class: In this lesson, a tape recorder will be
used to support the songs.
• Seating arrangement: I will use horseshoe arrangement (it is a small group

a bigger classroom) in order to facilitate visual contact and interaction with the
students. As teacher I can command the group `s attention and make a better

PURPOSE: To introduce the topic
Now, look! Do you remember my friends? (I will show the dolls again) It isThey
are expected to say YES. I will take the male doll and ask them: Is Alan a girl?
5. (No) Is he a boy? (Yes) Then I will take de female doll and ask the same: Is
Susan a boy? (No) Is Susan a girl? (yes)

PRESENTATION: 3 minutes
In order to reinforce the words boy and girl, I will give them some commands in
order they can imitate them. I will tell them: Kids, pay attention and look at me.
Stand up. Raise your hands. Sit down. Clap your hands. (I will show them the
actions), Now, girls please clap your hands (It is expected that the girls clap
their hands) Boys, please stand up (It is expected that the boys stand up).

DEVELOPMENT: 10 MINUTES
I will stick on the board a picture of a boy and another one of a girl.
6. I will point to the boy picture and say: His name is Andrew ( I will write on the
board the boy`s name). Then I will ask to any kids: What is your name? ( it is
expected he/ she telll me his/her name) and I will point to the girl`s picture
and say: her name is Carol ( pointing to the girl`s picture and writing on the
board her name). I will ask to another boy or girl what his/ her name is.
I will ask kids if they remember my name: What is my name? Miiriam? (NO)

I will invite them to sing a song: I am a boy and you are a girl ( taken
from you tube but I will turn into a mp3 file). The first part of the song is sung by
boys and the last part by girls. ( this is will be explained before singing) . I will
invite students to listen the song and then I will invite them to sing it twice.
