This text American Typewriter Light wouldn’t be good to use in my magazine. I
don’t think this text would be good for my magazine because I want my text for my
masthead to stand out and this text doesn’t do that. This sort of font doesn't fit
into the hip-hop / rap magazines conventions.
I like this font Futura Condensed ExtraBold. This text would be good to use for
my magazine because it’s bold and stands out well which means it can be seen
from a distance. Even though this text is bold and stands out I don’t think it
would fit in well with my magazine as it doesn’t look like the conventional font
that is used within this magazine genre
This font Bodoni 72 Book Italic wouldn't’t go well with my hip-hop magazine as
the text is very thin and the font is its italic and in hip-hop / rap magazines the
text tends to be bold so it sticks out and catches the audiences attention
This font Arial Black Regular works well with my magazine because its bold and
can be seen easily which is good because this means from a distance customers
will be able to see what brand it is easily and this will catch the audiences
attention

3. Style sheet
This image is a good sort to use for my magazine because it has a plain background
and the lighting is on the artist which gives him power as well as his chains and watch
which show his success. The dark background and the artist wearing all black suggests
a mysterious element.
This image is good because again it has a plain background which is common in hip-hop
magazines as it draws the attention to the artist. The artist is also a medium close up shot
which is commonly used so we can see the artists facial expression as well a their body in
the shot. Fro this shot we can tell he looks very serious which could suggests he’s very
serious about the music he is making and he is showing off his designer coat to show he is
wealthy and successfully.

A barcode will be used for my magazine as it is a legal requirement so that I need to have
this included on my magazine.

4. Style sheet
I like this color scheme an think it would work well s it has a selection of colors from
red to white and these colors are complimentary colors. These colors will work well for
my magazine because black gives it the mysterious element whilst white shows purity
and red could suggest love which could be the artists love for the music or it could
suggest danger which could be the artist is the best and they are a danger to others
These colors work well together and I thin would work well with my magazine. I think
these could would work well with my magazine especially the black one (110316) dark
gray (2f2c2f) and light gray (b5b8bd) I would however like to add a bright color in with
these just to make my magazine stand out more and to catch the audiences attention
and so that it stands out.
I like these colors and think they would work well together. The main colors I would
use out of these would be red (e60007) gray (606060) and blue (a3d0f4). I think these
colors would work well because they are bright colors and because my target audience
are fairly young they will like these bright colors and as well as this the bright colors
will stand out to the audience.

5. Front Cover Layout
The masthead will be placed at the top of the page as this
is where mastheads tend to be placed as it will catch the
audiences attention. I chose this text because from the
ones I used in my style sheet I think works the best
This is the main image for my magazine. This image takes up the
whole page so that it will catch the audiences attention. He is
also behind a plain background which is common in hip-hop
magazines
Barcode is placed at the bottom of the page and it is
a requirement to include one of these on the
magazine however if it was up to me I would have
the barcode on the back of the magazine
In these spaces I will include cover lines relevant to
the magazine to attract the audience to buy the
magazine. In the cover lines I will include buzz words
and have some of the text bigger than others
I will include a main cover line which will be in this
space here. This text will be larger than the cover
lines and is used to attract the audiences attention
from a distance

6. Double Page Layout
The main image is of Lil Uzi on the left
hand page. This image is good because
it’s a close up of the artist lil uzi vert and
we can see his facial expressions clearly
Here I will include a quote or a lyric from
the artist songs. I will include black font
because its easy to read on a white
background
Here I will include the headline for the
article . This will be a big bold font so
when the audience are flicking through
the pages it will catch their attention Here I will include the article about the
artist. I will chose a easy to read font and
the font colour wall be black whilst the
background for this page will be white

Barcode Use a royalty free image of a barcode
Cover lines Make them up and design the font and style using
Photoshop
Main photograph Go out and take some photos in the studio or use a
image of Google and edit it to make it my own.
Article Use InDesign and write a article that I want to
include in my magazine and chose the font I want to
use.

8. Contingency Planning

The programme on the mac crashes make sure to save your work as you go along so
its up to date and if it crashes you haven't lost
all your work and can take off from where you
last saved it
Computer doesn’t work / doesn’t turn on use another computer that is Woking and make
sure you have backed your work up somewhere
else so you can do your work on another
computer
Spill food or drink near the computers Don’t eat food or don’t drink around the
computer in case you spill anything and break
the computer
Might not know how to use a specific
programme
ask the tutor or use Google / YouTube or any
other recourses that you will have useful

9. Health and Safety

Backache Make sure you sit up straight and also have
regular breaks to walk around to ease the
pressure off your back
Headache Drink water and stay hydrated also have breaks
so your not constantly looking at the computer
screen
Eyestrain have regular breaks so your and take a couple
of minutes o to not look at a screen and just
rest your eyes
Spill food and drink Don’t eat food or dank drinks around the
computer as if you spill them it could damage
the computer.

don’t trip over any wires there might be
