✓After an initial meet and greet, ask students to mute
themselves and turn off their cameras
✓Set students to attendee status so that students do not
accidentally (or intentionally) mute you during the call
✓Remember - attention spans will be shorter than if you were
face-to-face in your classroom.
✓Create checkpoints where you pause to gauge understanding.

insights and questions
✓Strongly encourage students to consider sitting at a table for
your calls
✓Be sure to take a few longer breaks when you encourage

before you leave the meeting
