Don Luis Guian followed
this in 1750
Fr. Mariano Pilapil wrote

one’s fellowmen, mentors, parents,
and God which has a cleansing effect
on moral principles.

Many writings were lost because the spaniards burned them so as not to leave traces of philippine literary ingenuity.
The Spnish colonizers specially the friars whose mission was to spread Christianity exerted efforts to convert the natives into Christians.
