2. COLOUR SCHEME
The colour scheme is pink and
blue. This appeals to both
genders and makes the product
more sellable. The album is
called teenage dream which, by
using the theme of sweets,
creates an appetising product.
3. CD’S
The designs on the CD’s are fun
and are shaped like a lollipop and
donut. Katy Perry’s target audience
(TA) is a younger audience so using
a sweet design appeals to a
younger audience.
4. THE
SPINE
The spine conventional included some of
the items listed below:
Issue number
Album title and artist name
Institutional detail
The spine on this digiak adheres to all of
these conventions which creates a
professional look for the product. Also the
spine creates synergy with the rest of the
digipak by using the same colour and
font.
5. FRONT PANEL
On the front panel there is a
voyeuristic photo of Katy. She is
wearing nothing but a bit of cloud to
cover her bottom half. This suggests
that she is appealing to a male
audience and an older audience. The
text is in a handwritten style and the
artist name is larger than the album
title. This is to promote the artist
more.
6. BACK PANEL
The back panel is bright and colourful
so it instantly catches your attention.
There is institutional detail on it and a
bar code which is a convention of a
digipak. The “O” on the track list are the
same design used as the CD. This shows
synergy between the media products.
