2. ARTISTS IN POP MUSIC
 In Pop music, artists are happy and enjoying life. This is due to the
younger TA. They are dressed in fashionable clothes and again this is
because they are influencing a younger TA. However, artists can also be
represented in a promiscuous way to attract older teens and males. This
can be seen in Mulvey's theory of the “Male Gaze” where women are
dressed to attracted men. Artist like Rhianna and Lady Gaga. Even 10
years ago they were still seen like this.

3. VIDEO CONVENTIONS
 The videos are based a lot around dance and they are quite up beat. The
pop genre is also geared or associated with teens. This can include club
scenes or parties. Stereotypically teens enjoy partying and sex.
 Another thing that is stereotypical to pop videos is that the lyrics contain
messages referring to love or relationships and the songs last between 3-5
minutes
 The songs common structure is verse-chorus-verse and include a hook

4. TECHNOLOGY AND PRESS
 Pop magazines use bright and bold colours to attract their audience
and use lots of pictures. Promotional aspects include featuring the
songs on radio stations and pop TV music channels like 4music and
heat. They are heard everyday so is guaranteed to become popular.
 Technology has become a large part of music videos. CGI and
animations is used a lot to create that young effect and to create
certain atmospheres. This is a lot different from in the past. Animations
were not commonly used so they had to rely on the cameras that they
had.
