2. FIRST VERSION
This was the first version of Encounters
contents page that I created. It’s quite
evident that I have looked up to Q magazines
for inspiration for this page. The layout
is very simplistic and easy to follow allowing
the reader to gain fast, direct and easy
access to their desired page.
I followed the “indie rock” genre by using black,
white and red for my colour scheme.
This version of my contents page has the fault
of too much white space being seen, therefore I
created a newer version of this whilst still following
the same simplistic layout.
3. FINAL VERSION
This is the final version of my magazine
Encounters contents page. A lot has changed
since the first version that I posted on my blog.
Firstly, I removed my masthead from the top of
the contents as I felt that it was an
unnecessary feature to have. I corrected this
by making the word “contents” bold so it stood
out to the reader.
To take up the remaining white space I added
a “letter from the editor” feature and also
added “On The Cover” and the title of my
magazine to the two sides of the magazine.
I made words in each individual page title bold
to put emphasis onto them so that the readers
attention is caught. The final improvement was
adding thick and thin lines to create a border
and to divide the contents page up.
