2. I asked mainly females for this questionnaire which is pretty bias. I should have asked
an equal amount of males & females to get a fair result. This shows that I have only
shown most of my magazine to girls and have their opinion. My target audience was
both genders, next time if I ever do this , I will ensure I ask both genders.

3. Most of the people I
asked are in the 16-21
age bracket which is
good because my
target was 16-25. I
made sure that I didn’t
ask anyone under 16 or
over 30 because their
opinions don’t count for
much considering they
are not in the target
audience. It would of
been good for them to
look at the magazine
though.

4. Yes
No
Most people said yes to
this question which is a
good sign because that
means that they think of
my magazine straight
away to be rock because
of the front cover. I was
worried that no body
would guess it was a rock
magazine just from the
front cover. Im glad that I
did this question because
it helps me to know what
can capture a readers
attention and make them
guess what genre the
magazine is.
5. 6/10 people said that the
cover lines indicated to them
that this magazine was rock
and an equal 2/10 thought
colours and main image
showed them what genre the
magazine is. I like the fact
that most people chose the
cover lines because I had a
hard time writing the cover
lines to ensure that they
seemed relatable and
reflected rock music and I
had to make sure they fit
well with the front cover.
Unfortunately nobody chose
the masthead. I think ‘The
Noise’ indicates it is a rock
magazines.

6. This shows that an equal
amount of people liked
both the front cover and
contents page against the
double page spread. I
would have chosen this
too. I think that the cover
or contents is my favourite
page because I put most
time into them. I like the
fact that they like these
two because that means if
they were in a shop and
saw it , they would
possibly buy it considering
the cover is their favourite.

7. This is just a simple yes or no
question but it reflects whether I
used the right colour scheme or
not through out the magazine.
Fortunately 8/10 people said yes
that the colours do represent
rock music. This is good because
I was hesitant about using red for
the main colour but now it seems
that it was a good choice.
I think that the 2 people that said
no must have not liked the
colour red or they really didn’t
think it represented rock.

5/10 chose black, grey and
white as a colour scheme to
use. I think that if I would of
used these colours the
magazine would of looked
really boring and simple.
Maybe the readers think
that these colours represent
rock much more than the
colour red does. However
3/10 people chose that red,
grey and black would be
good colours to use, even
though that is sort of what
the colour scheme is now.
9. This is significant because it an
influence whether I ever want
to change the prize of my
magazine. I think that my
original prize of £2.50 is good
because most magazines sell
for around this price or maybe
more, depending on the
content and quality of the
magazine. Most of the answers
on this were £2+ which
indicates that my price of £2.50
could be quite reasonable.

10. Yes
No
This simple yes or no question is
quite important because throughout
the construction I spent a long time
choosing fonts that I think would
work well on the magazine and
reflect rock music, it was hard to find
fonts but using Dafont.com made it
easier. Thankfully most people said
yes meaning the fonts are
appropriate.
Maybe if I was to ever make this
again I would find it much easier to
choose fonts. Fonts are an important
part of making the magazine.
11. Most people answered this
question NO which is a good sign
because I couldn’t think of
anymore cover lines or articles that
could be put into the magazine.
However 2/10 people said yes
there is something to include, they
specified and chose games. The
readers think that like some similar
magazines there should at least be
a small games section somewhere
because games in magazines are
always fun. This question was
helpful because now I know for
next time if there is anything new
to include.

Information
Colour
7/10 chose COLOUR for this
question, meaning they would
like to see more colour in the
contents page. I think that this
indicates I should make some of
the article titles colourful
instead of the whole page just
simply being red, black and
white. Adding more colour
could attract some more
readers. Also a small amount of
people wanted more
information, I found it difficult
to write information about the
articles because I didn’t want to
give too much away but next
time I could try write some
more.
13. I agree with the answers to this
one, that the readers want to
see more article/interview on
the DPS. When I conducted and
wrote the interview out I
realised that it was quite short
but didn’t do anything about it,
therefore this left quite a bit of
space on the page but I covered
it with pictures. Next time I can
ensure that I get a longer
interview. Also the readers
suggested more images but I
don’t think I can put anymore
images onto the DPS. Other
double page spreads only
usually have 3 or 4 pictures on
them.

This is the most vital
question because it makes
my opinion about the
magazine. Answers show
that 9/10 people think the
magazine does look
professional which is great
because I spent so much
time perfecting it and
ensuring that it was to a
good standard and met all
of the readers/audiences
needs and wants. I am
very proud of my final
magazine and it someone
else had made it, I would
defiantly purchase one.
