paragraph on one of the characters
Expected Learning Outcomes:

All pupils will be able to know who is in An
Inspector Calls,and be able to have
impressions ofeach one from reading the
opening ofthe play. Students will write a
P.E.E + LA paragraph in the lesson, using
the annotations that we have made.
Opportunities for Assessment:
Formative & summative
APK – using their knowledge aboutpower,the differenttypes of power that can be
demonstrated and the idea of capitalism and socialism.This will be used to infer things
abouteach character.
Teacher questioning – teacher will question Ss throughoutthe lesson, asking them to
think independently aboutcognitively challenging questions
Writing PEE+LA paragraph – students will write their own PEE+LA paragraph in the
lesson.
Peer assessment – students will peer assess work, going through a checklistthatis
provided.
Cognitive challenges:
Desirable difficulties for all abilities; how will students progress?
Writing their own PEE+LAparagraph – students will be reminded of what
PEE+LA is, as well as giving them a model paragraph which we will go
through together as a class.

cognitive challenge, subject knowledge, summaries and note-taking
