SUMMARY
I am a conscientious, diligent and hard working young professional who has extensive
experience, particularly in the entertainment industry. I have managed a series of nightclubs, a
restaurant, as well as been instrumental in the operational side of many public houses. I
established my own events company in 2003 and have business associations with such
organisations as Academy Music Group and have organised multiple public events at the former
Oxford Brooke's Student Union. This has demonstrated a myriad of business skills to include
many marketing and financial responsibilities; therein paving the way for the subsequent success
of the venues, events and teams I have been responsible for. Not only do I have a passion for
this industry, but I feel that I have, from my past twelve years in management roles,
continuously demonstrated that I can successfully host, run and manage successful businesses,
events and human resources. I am keen to develop my skills further, with a view to potentially
move into employment with a stronger emphasis on the daytime commercial sector. I believe
this position is perfectly suited to me, and I eagerly look forward to the express the passion I
hold for this opportunity with you in person.
EXPERIENCE
Founder/Director, 06/2003 to Present
Kinetic Promotions - Regional. I founded, own and operate my own public music events
company to the present day. I now only organise events seasonally and am currently taking a
break from this. This is more so a hobby these days due to time restraints.
1st Assistant Manager, 02/2015 to 11/2015
Nando's Chickenland LTD - Reading, Berkshire. I joined Nando's as a 1st assistant manager.
Having been previously unexposed to the food retail sector, my aim was to gain a broadened
experience of management positions and requirements. I was solely responsible for running
shifts consisting of a team of up to 12 staff, from shift start to finish; stock orders; wages and
rotas. The GM's role was often extended regionally, therein requiring myself to prepare, operate
and close our premises to a standard equal to theirs. As a secondary role I was also named as
the restaurant's "Marketing Champion", charged with generating new innovative ideas, to
contribute toward the continued success of the restaurant, and further for the business as an
entity, through creating and implementing new, original and engaging marketing campaigns.
This experience has given me a more rounded management style and grounded me in a high
paced, high volume, food servery environment.
General Manager, 03/2007 to 01/2015
The Coven LTD - Oxford, Oxfordshire. I led a team of 8 to 15 staff over two venues and
worked in cohesion with independent event promotion organisations and university societies.
Developed staff skills on new practices and trained new employees, guiding all employees to
integrate with one another and thereby establishing a solid and reliable team. I was also
responsible for orders, booking maintenance, weekly banking, staff time sheets and wages.
Events Manager, 01/2004 to 03/2007

establishing and maintaining good relations with all external elements relating to the
