similar things in the past.

bit bored with my own company.

Just Bumps Maternity Wear 03/2003 to 09/2006
I formed Just Bumps not long after I had arrived back to the UK from living overseas. I did a bit of research
put some designs together and through a contact I had them made in India.
I found a Small shop which I refurbished myself given it a very rich ethnic theme to match the clothes.
I put together a Charity Fashion Show a the Stone Court Hotel in aid of the maternity ward in Maidstone
raising funds for much needed incubators. I also had a stall at Earls Court Baby Show
where my clothes were on the catwalk which was exhilarating.
Overseas 02/1997 to 07/2002
I travelled overseas with my then husband to Qatar where I worked for an English freight company Charles
Kendall. The company had just opened their office and had no accounts system so I set that up along with some
general office duties. This was a part time role so I also worked in boutiques and cooked for some of the other ex-
pat men that were there alone.
We then moved to Jordan where it was impossible for me to work because of restrictions on work permits. I
approached one of the largest hotels in Aqaba where I set up a daily exercise class for their guests and
other ex-pats, I had always exercised on a regular basis so thought it would be a great way of bringing
everyone together. I also arranged monthly themed party nights for the ex-pats working with the Manager
and Head Chef to create cocktails, fine food and entertainment, they were a great success.
We moved to Barbados where we stayed for 10 months, again I couldn’t work so I helped out at my
daughters school. We then spent 3 months in Mustique which was a fantastic experience. My daughter
attended the local private school whilst we were there and I worked as a part time teaching assistant with
maths and English.
In 2000 we moved to Grand Cayman, where I worked for a private health company, which started with me,
setting up a new filing system, administration and arranged transport for customers for hospital visits in the
US and UK.
