OBJECTIVE
I plan to obtain a position with the team that will allow me to further the company, my co-workers,
and myself through the use of skills and knowledge related to customer relations and guest services
which I have developed throughout my professional career.
CAREER HIGHLIGHTS
My career has been a series of team work orientated experiences in customer service and sales
showing me that I am meant for a career in sales. I have worked with highly respected restaurants
and bars that have exceptional standards for quality and service. I helped train staff for the opening
of Coppa Ristorante and Yardhouse City Centre, completing extensive training in bar service,
restaurant service, and specialty cuisines. My first passion was teaching and working with mentally
challenged young adults, this began at the young age of ten at The Briarwood School and later, The
Monarch Institute. I worked as both a summer program head teacher and a substitute teacher during
the year. I also helped launch a residential home facility for young adults when I was 24 with The
Monarch School. Throughout high school and college I advanced my technical skills in stage craft
and theatrical lighting. These experiences combined with my last 7 years in the service industry
helped create this portfolio of teamwork, customer service, and dedication. Now, I will take these
foundational building blocks and use them in a way that is beneficial to your team.
WORK EXPERIENCE
Royal Oak Bar and Grill 2013 – Current
Bartender
Royal Oak is a high volume bar that requires a high level of attention and energy, both to the
patrons and to the products. Every shift provides opportunities to grow relationships with
regular guests as well as develop lasting relationships with new patrons. Royal Oak has a wide
range of liquor with a focus on whiskey; this provides opportunities to create beverages catered
to the needs and desires of individual patrons while expanding my own knowledge of spirits
and cocktails.
Pistoleros Tequila and Tacos 2013 – 2014
Bartender
In this high energy setting, I succeeded at building a regular customer clientele, turning three of
the slower week nights into some of Pistoleros’ busiest nights. During the close of a shift, I was
responsible for counting the drawer, taking inventory, restocking and locking down the building
alone. This position was a great chance to learn the responsibilities of running a bar and the
associated successes or failures of a shift.
Uchi Restaurants,Houston 2012 – 2013
Server, Bartender
Uchi has been noted as one of the highest rated restaurants in Houston, receiving numerous
awards. As a server I was able to provide an eight to fifteen course meal seamlessly while
simultaneously attending to six different firing stations in the kitchen for cook times. Moving to
the bar demanded a new level of awareness and service. My knowledge of wine, beer, sake, and

teamwork grew significantly. Uchi was constantly busy and effective teamwork was essential
to our success.
Coppa Ristorante Italiano, Clark Cooper Concepts 2010 – 2012
Server, Bartender, Wine consultant
Coppa opened in the fall of 2010 and was an immediate success. Anticipating the needs of
guests and keeping the flow of service moving was essential. As a bartender I learned classic
cocktails recipes and created new twists on these classics. I collaborated with our beverage
director working to build and maintain inventory for a wine list that became one of the best in
Houston. This consultant role provided knowledge of many different wines that I shared with
both the staff and guests.
Yardhouse Restaurant _ 2009 –2011
Trainer and Server
Yardhouse opened its doors Houston in 2009 and I was part of the first set of servers. Before I left,
I handled a shift lead section with thirty to fifty guests at a time while simultaneously training
newly hired servers. The charts and processes I created for the opening procedures and day-to-day
operation of the restaurant are still used in the restaurant today.
International Alliance of Theatrical Stage Employees, Local 51 2009 – Current
While theatre is no longer my passion it is still something I continue to enjoy doing from time
to time. Through the IATSE union, I am able to self-schedule part time work setting up trade
shows, exhibitions, and stage productions. This work provides opportunities to interact with
many different people from all walks of life.
The Monarch Institute _ _ 2002 – 2010
Volunteer and Paid Intern
I worked at The Monarch School, an innovative therapeutic school for individuals with
neurological differences. My various roles included summer school teacher, building a summer
curriculum to continue lessons started during the school year; substitute teaching during the
school year; and spending a summer in a respite home with three students.
EDUCATION
York University – Bachelor of Arts in Theatre Toronto, Ontario
Westside High School Houston, Texas
SUMMARY
My current career in client services has provided experiences that have all contributed to my growth.
From each experience, I have been able to advance to new levels of expertise and responsibility. I
am ready to dedicate my talents and work ethic into a collaborative, entrepreneurial setting.
