PERSONAL STATEMENT
As a professional entertainer and events organiser, Iam outgoing, friendly and positive with an eye for
detail and planning. I have been working in care homes and sheltered housing schemes since 2001
and am well respected by management for the way I relate to them and their residents. Currently I
work in approximately 280 Care Homes and 40 Sheltered Housing Schemes. Running my own
business, I have experience dealing with marketing, organising, budgeting and contracts, as well as
communicating with contractors, managers, companies, and elderly residents. I use email, social
media, websites, Word, Publisher, Excel and PowerPoint to run my business. It is my aim to bring a
positive contribution to a sheltered housing scheme, enhancing the lives of all residents, ensuring it
is a happy and safe place to live.
KEY SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE
 Experience running a business and performing management and administrative processes,
including budgeting, invoicing, negotiating and marketing
 Supplier and sub-contractor management to ensure quality and project delivery within tight
timescales and strict budgets

Jukebox Legends & Promotions
Entertaining and promoting shows in the UK and abroad – from care homes to stage shows.
 Currently I entertain in up to four care homes or Sheltered Housing Schemes per day
including Housing and Care21, First Port, Hanover, Churchill & Anchor
 Arranging and delivering up to four 1-hour shows per day; communicating with Activity
Coordinators, Managers and Entertainment Committees to ensure well-planned events over
seven counties
 Communicating with multiple contacts and organisations to ensure smooth running of large
charity fundraising shows
 Operational and administrative processes including the budgeting and marketing to support
the running of Jukebox Legends & Promotions
 Addressing the Health and Safety aspects of each show in relation to the logistics of venues
and the audience to be entertained (loop system, wires etc.)
 Involving myself with care home tenants, demonstrating empathy and rapport, hearing what

Self-employed entertainer and promoter (Spain) 2007–2013
Jukebox Legends & Promotions
Entertaining and promoting shows in Spain. During this time, I returned to the UK several times a year
to continue work with Care Homes and Sheltered Housing Schemes.
 Organised stage shows: putting on these shows required finding venues, promoting, ticket
distribution, organising fundraising competitions, finding suitable door staff, designing adverts
and posters, collecting money and paying acts
 Contract management for both venues and supporting performers, negotiating prices and
managing budgets
 Sourcing and hiring acts from the UK including organisation of accommodation, food and
travel arrangements
 Shows were run ten nights a month, ten months of the year: acts included top international
tributes as well as original artists, for example Chas Hodges (Chas and Dave), Lena Martell
and Ricky Valance
 Shows organised by Jukebox Promotions, both here and in Spain, were predominantly a
platform for raising money for charity: to date approximately £40,000 has been raised in Spain
for “Help at Home Costa Blanca”
