institution might distribute your
    media product and why?
Harris Publications Inc
• is an American magazine publisher in New
  York City that publishes over 75
  titles, including Juicy, XXL, King, Dog News, 0-
  60, Guns & Weapons for Law
  Enforcement, Small Business
  Opportunities, Men's Workout, Exercise &
  Health, Celebrity Hairstyles, and many more.
Why would I choose Harris
             publications?
• The media institution which I would choose to publish
  my magazine would be Harris Publications Inc because
  they already publish music magazines similar to mine
  so I know they have similar target audiences who like
  R&B music so my magazine would sell well, also my
  magazine is targeted at people of a younger age which
  is different to their usual target audience of around 25
  so my magazine would have no competition with the
  other magazines they already publish, it would stand
  out from the rest and sell very well. It also gives the
  publishers a wider target audience as more younger
  people will start buying the magazine not just people
  around the age of 21-25.
Publishers I wouldn’t choose and
                  why?
• Bauer wouldn’t be good distributers as the types of magazines
  they sell have the genre of rock and punk like ‘Kerrang’ which
  even from the layout of the magazine I can tell that it is
  nothing like the genre of music my magazine is about, the
  colour scheme is the same as mine but the type of fonts and
  pictures used on the magazines are very different to my
  magazine. Also their target audience is different which means
  they will be much less likely to buy my magazine.
Other publishers that I wouldn’t
           choose and why
• IPC would also not be a good institution to distribute my
  magazine as they distribute magazines like ‘what’s on tv’
  these magazines do not have anything to do with music they
  are more informative magazines about what films and
  programmes are going to be on television over a period of
  time and their target audience is between 40-50 which is
  much older than my target audience so it would be pointless
  them publishing my magazine.
