1. The girl is positioned in the
middle of the page and is
looking directly at the
customer/user. She is also
smiling at the camera
suggesting the school is a
happy place.
The left 3rd has articles all
over page which is aimed
at the target audience
(sixth formers) The articles
are about students,
popular TV and creativity
topics.
The direct address is
displayed in the articles
that are being shown on
the front page. The articles
are aimed at us as it says
"you" and "yours"
On most magazines you
will find a barcode
somewhere on the page,
however this magazine
doesn't have one, this may
be due to the magazine
being an online magazine.
Typically the masthead is at
the top of the magazine
2.
3. Again the Masthead is at
the top of the page to
show that it is the contents
page. The issue date is also
included next to the
masthead.
The pages/articles that are
the main headline have all
been numbered to show
what page it is on, this is so
people know what page a
certain article is on. Also
typically the most
important articles would
be at the beginning/top
and the less important
article would be put near
the end.
The contents page for this
magazine shows more
images than the front
cover, this is to show more
that is going on later in the
magazine and can also be
used to make the contents
page look more full as
most contents pages they
don't have lots of images.
4. Target Audience
• The target for my sixth form magazine, is sixth formers, this means
students aged 16-18. the magazine has to appeal to everyone at the
sixth form so I will have to include content and articles that relate to
them. For example a chess tournament as outside the school there is
a place for sixth formers to play chess against each other. However, I
may include information for year 11's that are interested into coming
to sixth form, I will do this by making sixth sound relatable and
interesting.
