Masthead;The Masthead will be
at the top left on the magazine so
you can see it clearly
Strapline;This is placed near the
masthead, when you look at it you
will know what magazine it is of
Cover Stories;This will be down
the side of the magazine so it
does take over the image with
attention
Main Images;This is the photo
used for the centre of the
magazine, this helps the
magazine appeal to the
audience and be eye catching
Main Headline/AnchorageText;
This will be at either the top or I
the middle of the magazine and
it helps the reader see who the
main image is and what the
magazine is covering about
them.
Barcode;The Barcode
will be near the
bottom so that it is
visible to scan and it
helps promote the
magazine
Headline; It will be at the top so
the reader knows what the
magazine will be talking about
Photo; I will have a variety of photos
which may link to the article
Stand First;This is near the
headline so they can see the
introduction of the story
Drop Capital; Having a drop
capital make the page more
appealing
For my front cover, I will have the masthead at the top left of my front cover, this is
because I want my potential audience to make it stand out amongst the rest on the
shelves. My headline will be to the left of the front cover, this is because I want the
headline to be next to the main image which will be in the middle so it gives the magazine
a professional look. Under the headline I will have a quote that was said by the artist in the
interview I gave them, this will draw in readers because they will want to find out more
about the article/interview. Furthermore, I will use puff promotion to promote something
music based such as; tickets to the acts show or free spotify subscriptions, this will
hopefully bring in more customers because they may want the chance to win the
competition and therefore will buy the magazine. For my cover stories, they will be down
the right side of the page, this is because I don’t want them to get more attention as the
main article because the main article is the one I've spent most of my time on and
therefore is the most detailed.
My double page will have another big headline on it so it persuades the reader to read the
article. I have also put 2 pictures of them, I have done this because I think it makes the article
look very professional and it also shows more outlooks of the artist in which the reader can find
out more about them. Furthermore, I have given a lot of space for information of article to be
put in the double page, I have done this because it explains the headline on the front page and
on the double page spread and that’s why people have wanted to read the magazine. Also, the
reader will want to read on a lot of information about this artist if they are their favorite artist
and therefore I am providing that.
Colour Scheme
The colour scheme is set as purple, turquoise and black. This is because black is standard in
magazines for being used in writing. With the use of purple and turquoise it will be seen on the
shelves and will stand out amongst the rest of the magazines.
Font Styles
My magazines font is corbel because it is very clear and easy to read and that’s the most
important bit in the magazine as that’s why customers have bought it, I’ve used this for
interviews and information as they are the most important part of the magazine. For my
masthead , I am using the font minion pro because it is a style that would be used on pother
magazines because it is such a straightforward design, it will be recognizable from the reader
and can be noticed quicker. Furthermore, the masthead will be at the top left on the front cover
can be seen easier. Also the logo will be at the bottom of each page to make the masthead stick
so people will notice it.

As you can see, in the text box I put some of my ideas for
my masthead together in order to make the best looking
masthead I possibly could.Within the box you can see all
of the ideas from making the best name for the magazine
to what I'm going to do to the masthead in order for it to
suit my magazine. This is potentially the most important
bit of the magazine because this is what the audience are
going to remember the magazine by because it is
potentially my logo.
I have used these front covers to influence me with mine. The reason I have used these is
because they are other magazines that are focused on the same genre as me, I have also
used them because they all have very bold writing on their front pages, this influenced me
into making my magazine to have bold writing because I feel it makes it stand out so you
are more likely to catch the audiences eye with bold writing. These images also influenced
me because the type of artists that are on the front pages are most likely to be included
into my magazine.
It been going well mate, yourself?
Yeah not too bad thanks
It’s a week now until your album releases, what was your favourite song to make and why?
Goats and brogues because I like the beats, it gave me a chance to express my feelings on my favourite animal goats and my favourite shoe,
brogues.
Interesting, how long did it take you to make the album?
About 2 years as I had to write my own lyrics and make sure everything was mastered and perfect for when I release it to my fans.
Oh wow, so does that mean a tour is in the making?
Oh yes! Id love to go on tour! A world tour! Seeing all my fans from across the world and showing them an experience that they will never
forget. Like, I’m in there head day and night for ages.
Perfect! So does that mean a V.I.P ticket for me then? (laughing)
Maybe…(laughing) I'm sure we can sort something out
I'm a happy man (laughing) so what type of people do you listen to or look up to in the music industry and why?
Well It depends what mood I'm in really, if I'm sad then ill put some drake ,partynextdoor and asap rocky but if I'm ready to do something big
like if I'm about to go on stage then ill have someone like future or Tory Lanez to get me buzzing and ready to go out on stage and perform
to my fans making sure that they are having an amazing time as well as me. At the moment the person I look up to in the music industry is
Justin Bieber, I feel like he is just killing the game right now and is having the time of his life while doing it.
Okay, fair enough, I agree to be fair… So who really helped you to become who you are today?
I would probably say my family, I know that’s the most common answer but its true. If it wasn’t for my family wouldn’t be sitting here today
doing an interview with you today. Fact. My father especially believed that I had a talent in rapping and just helped me along my way deal
with all the problems that occurred in my life and he would give me a very mature answer to help me come across well and succeed in the
music business.
Perfect answer (laughing) I'm sure hell be proud when listening to this interview, I mean that’s if he even looks at this interview
(laughing)
(laughing) No, I'm sure he will look at this but maybe not today or tomorrow (laughing) actually he’ll probably just forget about it (laughing)
(laughing) Well if you are watching this M.C. Chiznle’s dad, then hello my names Harry and I'm talking to your brilliant son and he has
just rated you extremely highly
(laughing) I'm sure he’ll be happy with that Harry (laughing)
Well.. I think this Interview is over, it was nice talking to you M.C. Chaz and ill see you when those V.I.P tickets come through the door
(laughing)
Yes! I’ll we get them as soon as possible (laughing)
Thank you
Cheers Harry, its been a pleasure.

In my pitch, I was in front of my class, to help me I used a
slide changer to change the slides from far away so I
could engage with the audience more. I also used a
camera which was placed in front of me on a tripod
placed a head height so that I can be evaluated on my
pitch, I also used the main mac to load up my prezi
PowerPoint, I used this because it was connected to the
projector and my PowerPoint could be projected bigger
so that my class could see my PowerPoint clearer in order
to fill out my survey monkey effectively.
22. Location Recce
23. Hazards in a work place
24. Legal and ethical issues
25. Conclusion
The health and safety at work act is made up of 13 different
subjects and 10 schedules. A section of this consist of just
general basic duties, regulations, provision and commission.
These duties can be about workers that have to look after
themselves but also others around them if they are doing
something very dangerous. Also it’s the law to make sure that
the staffs health and safety surroundings are controlled all of the
time and if there is any questions or concerns that they have
found then they will have to tell the manager or the owner of
the business.
Legal Issues
A way in which I can keep my magazine out of courts due to legal issues is by doing what
Bauer Medias used in which they wanted freelances who has work for them to sign a
contract which would take away their rights, this means that my magazine (808 orTMM)
can use their work whenever they want without referencing anyone so they cant lose
money.
Ethical Issues
Definition; A problem or situation that requires a person or organization to choose
between alternatives that must be evaluated as right (ethical) or wrong (unethical).
By producing magazines, companies have rules in place that they have to follow once it
is published and sold that it will not cause offence or harm to any of the customers. A
rule n particular is that care must be taken to avoid causing offence to grounds of
race, religion, gender, sexual orientation, disability or age. It will then be judged on its
context, audience, medium, product and its prevailing standards.
www.businessdictionary.com/definition/ethical-
issue.html
In conclusion, it is very important that all members of staff aren't
putting their heath and safety at risk. Furthermore, when I next
take pictures I will make sure I follow the regulations to see if I
can take the photo. For legal and ethical issues I now know how
to follow them so my magazine company doesn't’t get taken to
court through untruthful messages.

29. Pre-production material
30. Production Process
31. Operating desktop publishing tools (Front cover)
32. Operating desktop publishing tools (Dps)
33. Conclusion
When I done my photoshoot used a Nikon D500 camera, these are priced at £1235.25 for
one, it thought I would use this because it will make my magazine look more professional
as I'm using a high quality photo. I have also bought iMacs as they are the most easy to
use with Photoshop or any other adobe software's. I have also bought them because it is
near on impossible to get a virus on them, this is perfect as I would rather spend a lot of
money on computers that actually work then keep changing them and it costing more in
the long run.
The pre-production materials I used was the fact that I
changed my hand drawn drafts into a professional
layout but no too detailed. I also changed some of my
photos for my actual magazine because I wasn’t happy
with my first batch of photos.
From this link: http://hosbeg.com/the-magazine-
production-process/
I then created my own production plan in which I will
use in the days building up to my magazine
releasing. This plan takes up to 4 weeks and within
this plan I have set tasks for what my staff should do
each day in order to make sure that my magazine is
released perfectly so it looks professional and will
hopefully cause people to buy it.
To make a front cover;
1. Go to file then new, then international paper to make an a4 canvas.
2. Then choose a background using the bucket and gradient tool
3. I choose the orange and saved it to my swatches.
4. For the masthead I used the shape tool to create a rectangle just like ‘XXL’s’ and used the
bucket tool to make it black.
5. I placed in a barcode from the internet and resized it making sure I held down shift otherwise
the barcode would pixelate and I made a small rectangle shape to place the barcode in. I had to
make sure I moved my layers around so you could see the barcode
6. I then placed in social media icons and I then made sure I resized them from the corner holding
down shift. To make sure they were the same size4 I used the ruler tool.
7. To create my cover lines I had to use the text tool and I had to go window character to resize
and transform the text.
8. To create the puff promotion I found a blank sticker off of the internet and added in writing and
a picture
9. To make the picture I crop out the background using the quick selection tool and using quick
mask mode with the brush tool and used the phrase ‘ white reveals, black conceals’
I made the DPS on InDesign as the software is easy to use to create 2
pages and columns for the interview.
1. I had to set up the document creating 2 pages and 3mm bleed.
1. To create the pull quote I had to use the tool which you can see
from the screenshot to the right.
1. I had to first type up the interview on MicrosoftWord and then I
pasted it over. I used the text box tool to create columns, pasted
the interview in and then used the little red box which you can see
from the screenshot I clicked on it and dragged the rest of the
interview over.
Altogether, I have shown what equipment I am going
to use in order to make my magazine look professional
and well made. I have also shown all the key dates in
my production plan to help me set a target for when
my magazine is going to be released. I have also made
a step by step instructions Manuel on how to make a
front cover and DPS.

43. Conclusion
44.Witness statement.
My deadline is January and I would say I'm ready and have met
this deadline. The tasks I found the hardest was actually making
the front cover and dps because I had to use software's that I
haven't ever used before and had to make it look professional so
it was catch the eye of my potential customers.
I used the softwareAdobe Photoshop to create my front cover and Adobe
Indesign for my Double page spread. I have used these software's because it
had the essential features to help make my magazine look as perfect and
professional as possible. Some examples of the features you can use are the
tools. The tools that have been used is the pen tool, quick selection tool, text,
gradient tool, eraser, airbrush. I used the text box in order to make the
masthead of my magazine look professional. I also used the quick selection
tool to delete any of the background that I didn't’t want. Furthermore, the
airbrush and gradient tool was used to for the background on my front cover
and dps because it made my photos look more professional and high quality.
When using these tools it helps make the magazine look more clean and
similar quality to the the other magazines that are already on the shelves on
the shop.
I always remove my background for the photo when used otherwise if you want to select a
colour background which is different to the one on the photo then it can leave it looking
incomplete and non-professional. Also, I used the text tool on the software but I downloaded a
different font off dafont.com and it becomes available when selecting what text I wanted
which gave it a more realistic look than the options that were available on the software. It also
looks a lot better if you download it otherwise if you copy a paste it, it will look extremely
unprofessional which will potentially mean lack of sales. Also, if you fill in any available spaces
of the canvas with text then it makes the ,magazine look like its full of information.
When I finished my work, I went through my pitch and all other bits of work just checking
for misspelt words and defects in the slides. For example I proof read everything in my
work to make sure it made sense so they the person marking my paper will understand
what I'm writing about.
I proof read over everything in
my dps an made sure it was all
perfect for marking.
Colour Scheme – 808
Orange
The colour orange connotes a gold fill of the magazine. The reason I used this colour was
because my genre for the magazine is hip-hop/rap and will contain artists who love
diamonds, gold and showing off all of their money.
Black
The colour black was used to contrast with the gold so it llooked luxury and gave off a very
hip-hop/rap feel. I also makes the magazine stand out from all the others because they use
colours like white and red to grab peoples attention.
Colour Scheme –TMM
Blue
The colour blue is used because the magazine appeals mostly to men and the colour blue is
mostly used by the male gender. I have also used this colour because it connotes a neutral
look to the magazine and makes it look professional.
Red
The colour red contrasts with blue and makes the magazine stand out on the shelves. I also
thought that the colour red made the magazine look more aesthetically pleasing which
could cause someone to pick it up and give it a read.
The main thing I changed was my draft interview, the reason I changed this because it
didn't’t make much sense which furthermore made the magazine look extremely
unprofessional because no customer would be satisfied with a magazine if the content in
the slide didn't’t make sense and wasn’t very educational.
In this unit I have spoken about everything to do with my magazine. I have covered
things how I'm going to put my magazine in production and when I'm going to
publish it to the audience. I have also covered all the things I needed to change
within my magazine to make it look more professional for the public eye.
A witness statement is when my teacher will go through my work, for example,
this witness statement was taken from my pitch and it is designed to give me my
pro’s and cons of my work. Therefore I will then be able to find my strong parts of
my work but also see what I need to improve on to make my work the best of my
ability.

  • 4. Masthead; The Masthead will be at the top left on the magazine so you can see it clearly Strapline; This is placed near the masthead, when you look at it you will know what magazine it is of Cover Stories; This will be down the side of the magazine so it does take over the image with attention Main Images; This is the photo used for the centre of the magazine, this helps the magazine appeal to the audience and be eye catching Main Headline/AnchorageText; This will be at either the top or I the middle of the magazine and it helps the reader see who the main image is and what the magazine is covering about them. Barcode; The Barcode will be near the bottom so that it is visible to scan and it helps promote the magazine
  • 5. Headline; It will be at the top so the reader knows what the magazine will be talking about Photo; I will have a variety of photos which may link to the article Stand First; This is near the headline so they can see the introduction of the story Drop Capital; Having a drop capital make the page more appealing
  • 6. For my front cover, I will have the masthead at the top left of my front cover, this is because I want my potential audience to make it stand out amongst the rest on the shelves. My headline will be to the left of the front cover, this is because I want the headline to be next to the main image which will be in the middle so it gives the magazine a professional look. Under the headline I will have a quote that was said by the artist in the interview I gave them, this will draw in readers because they will want to find out more about the article/interview. Furthermore, I will use puff promotion to promote something music based such as; tickets to the acts show or free spotify subscriptions, this will hopefully bring in more customers because they may want the chance to win the competition and therefore will buy the magazine. For my cover stories, they will be down the right side of the page, this is because I don’t want them to get more attention as the main article because the main article is the one I've spent most of my time on and therefore is the most detailed.
  • 7. My double page will have another big headline on it so it persuades the reader to read the article. I have also put 2 pictures of them, I have done this because I think it makes the article look very professional and it also shows more outlooks of the artist in which the reader can find out more about them. Furthermore, I have given a lot of space for information of article to be put in the double page, I have done this because it explains the headline on the front page and on the double page spread and that’s why people have wanted to read the magazine. Also, the reader will want to read on a lot of information about this artist if they are their favorite artist and therefore I am providing that.
  • 8. Colour Scheme The colour scheme is set as purple, turquoise and black. This is because black is standard in magazines for being used in writing. With the use of purple and turquoise it will be seen on the shelves and will stand out amongst the rest of the magazines. Font Styles My magazines font is corbel because it is very clear and easy to read and that’s the most important bit in the magazine as that’s why customers have bought it, I’ve used this for interviews and information as they are the most important part of the magazine. For my masthead , I am using the font minion pro because it is a style that would be used on pother magazines because it is such a straightforward design, it will be recognizable from the reader and can be noticed quicker. Furthermore, the masthead will be at the top left on the front cover can be seen easier. Also the logo will be at the bottom of each page to make the masthead stick so people will notice it.
  • 10. Masthead; Names - 808 - Beats - TMM (typical monthly music) Information - Stand out on the front page so that it is very eye catching on the shelf - Black & Gold layout - Bold - Top left of the magazine - Professional but unique look As you can see, in the text box I put some of my ideas for my masthead together in order to make the best looking masthead I possibly could.Within the box you can see all of the ideas from making the best name for the magazine to what I'm going to do to the masthead in order for it to suit my magazine. This is potentially the most important bit of the magazine because this is what the audience are going to remember the magazine by because it is potentially my logo.
  • 11. I have used these front covers to influence me with mine. The reason I have used these is because they are other magazines that are focused on the same genre as me, I have also used them because they all have very bold writing on their front pages, this influenced me into making my magazine to have bold writing because I feel it makes it stand out so you are more likely to catch the audiences eye with bold writing. These images also influenced me because the type of artists that are on the front pages are most likely to be included into my magazine.

  • 13. It been going well mate, yourself? Yeah not too bad thanks It’s a week now until your album releases, what was your favourite song to make and why? Goats and brogues because I like the beats, it gave me a chance to express my feelings on my favourite animal goats and my favourite shoe, brogues. Interesting, how long did it take you to make the album? About 2 years as I had to write my own lyrics and make sure everything was mastered and perfect for when I release it to my fans. Oh wow, so does that mean a tour is in the making? Oh yes! Id love to go on tour! A world tour! Seeing all my fans from across the world and showing them an experience that they will never forget. Like, I’m in there head day and night for ages. Perfect! So does that mean a V.I.P ticket for me then? (laughing) Maybe…(laughing) I'm sure we can sort something out I'm a happy man (laughing) so what type of people do you listen to or look up to in the music industry and why? Well It depends what mood I'm in really, if I'm sad then ill put some drake ,partynextdoor and asap rocky but if I'm ready to do something big like if I'm about to go on stage then ill have someone like future or Tory Lanez to get me buzzing and ready to go out on stage and perform to my fans making sure that they are having an amazing time as well as me. At the moment the person I look up to in the music industry is Justin Bieber, I feel like he is just killing the game right now and is having the time of his life while doing it. Okay, fair enough, I agree to be fair… So who really helped you to become who you are today? I would probably say my family, I know that’s the most common answer but its true. If it wasn’t for my family wouldn’t be sitting here today doing an interview with you today. Fact. My father especially believed that I had a talent in rapping and just helped me along my way deal with all the problems that occurred in my life and he would give me a very mature answer to help me come across well and succeed in the music business. Perfect answer (laughing) I'm sure hell be proud when listening to this interview, I mean that’s if he even looks at this interview (laughing) (laughing) No, I'm sure he will look at this but maybe not today or tomorrow (laughing) actually he’ll probably just forget about it (laughing) (laughing) Well if you are watching this M.C. Chiznle’s dad, then hello my names Harry and I'm talking to your brilliant son and he has just rated you extremely highly (laughing) I'm sure he’ll be happy with that Harry (laughing) Well.. I think this Interview is over, it was nice talking to you M.C. Chaz and ill see you when those V.I.P tickets come through the door (laughing) Yes! I’ll we get them as soon as possible (laughing) Thank you Cheers Harry, its been a pleasure.

  • 20. In my pitch, I was in front of my class, to help me I used a slide changer to change the slides from far away so I could engage with the audience more. I also used a camera which was placed in front of me on a tripod placed a head height so that I can be evaluated on my pitch, I also used the main mac to load up my prezi PowerPoint, I used this because it was connected to the projector and my PowerPoint could be projected bigger so that my class could see my PowerPoint clearer in order to fill out my survey monkey effectively.

  • 24. The health and safety at work act is made up of 13 different subjects and 10 schedules. A section of this consist of just general basic duties, regulations, provision and commission. These duties can be about workers that have to look after themselves but also others around them if they are doing something very dangerous. Also it’s the law to make sure that the staffs health and safety surroundings are controlled all of the time and if there is any questions or concerns that they have found then they will have to tell the manager or the owner of the business.
  • 25. Legal Issues A way in which I can keep my magazine out of courts due to legal issues is by doing what Bauer Medias used in which they wanted freelances who has work for them to sign a contract which would take away their rights, this means that my magazine (808 orTMM) can use their work whenever they want without referencing anyone so they cant lose money. Ethical Issues Definition; A problem or situation that requires a person or organization to choose between alternatives that must be evaluated as right (ethical) or wrong (unethical). By producing magazines, companies have rules in place that they have to follow once it is published and sold that it will not cause offence or harm to any of the customers. A rule n particular is that care must be taken to avoid causing offence to grounds of race, religion, gender, sexual orientation, disability or age. It will then be judged on its context, audience, medium, product and its prevailing standards. www.businessdictionary.com/definition/ethical- issue.html
  • 26. In conclusion, it is very important that all members of staff aren't putting their heath and safety at risk. Furthermore, when I next take pictures I will make sure I follow the regulations to see if I can take the photo. For legal and ethical issues I now know how to follow them so my magazine company doesn't’t get taken to court through untruthful messages.

  • 29. When I done my photoshoot used a Nikon D500 camera, these are priced at £1235.25 for one, it thought I would use this because it will make my magazine look more professional as I'm using a high quality photo. I have also bought iMacs as they are the most easy to use with Photoshop or any other adobe software's. I have also bought them because it is near on impossible to get a virus on them, this is perfect as I would rather spend a lot of money on computers that actually work then keep changing them and it costing more in the long run.
  • 30. The pre-production materials I used was the fact that I changed my hand drawn drafts into a professional layout but no too detailed. I also changed some of my photos for my actual magazine because I wasn’t happy with my first batch of photos.
  • 31. From this link: http://hosbeg.com/the-magazine- production-process/ I then created my own production plan in which I will use in the days building up to my magazine releasing. This plan takes up to 4 weeks and within this plan I have set tasks for what my staff should do each day in order to make sure that my magazine is released perfectly so it looks professional and will hopefully cause people to buy it.
  • 32. To make a front cover; 1. Go to file then new, then international paper to make an a4 canvas. 2. Then choose a background using the bucket and gradient tool 3. I choose the orange and saved it to my swatches. 4. For the masthead I used the shape tool to create a rectangle just like ‘XXL’s’ and used the bucket tool to make it black. 5. I placed in a barcode from the internet and resized it making sure I held down shift otherwise the barcode would pixelate and I made a small rectangle shape to place the barcode in. I had to make sure I moved my layers around so you could see the barcode 6. I then placed in social media icons and I then made sure I resized them from the corner holding down shift. To make sure they were the same size4 I used the ruler tool. 7. To create my cover lines I had to use the text tool and I had to go window character to resize and transform the text. 8. To create the puff promotion I found a blank sticker off of the internet and added in writing and a picture 9. To make the picture I crop out the background using the quick selection tool and using quick mask mode with the brush tool and used the phrase ‘ white reveals, black conceals’
  • 33. I made the DPS on InDesign as the software is easy to use to create 2 pages and columns for the interview. 1. I had to set up the document creating 2 pages and 3mm bleed. 1. To create the pull quote I had to use the tool which you can see from the screenshot to the right. 1. I had to first type up the interview on MicrosoftWord and then I pasted it over. I used the text box tool to create columns, pasted the interview in and then used the little red box which you can see from the screenshot I clicked on it and dragged the rest of the interview over.
  • 34. Altogether, I have shown what equipment I am going to use in order to make my magazine look professional and well made. I have also shown all the key dates in my production plan to help me set a target for when my magazine is going to be released. I have also made a step by step instructions Manuel on how to make a front cover and DPS.

  • 37. My deadline is January and I would say I'm ready and have met this deadline. The tasks I found the hardest was actually making the front cover and dps because I had to use software's that I haven't ever used before and had to make it look professional so it was catch the eye of my potential customers.
  • 38. I used the softwareAdobe Photoshop to create my front cover and Adobe Indesign for my Double page spread. I have used these software's because it had the essential features to help make my magazine look as perfect and professional as possible. Some examples of the features you can use are the tools. The tools that have been used is the pen tool, quick selection tool, text, gradient tool, eraser, airbrush. I used the text box in order to make the masthead of my magazine look professional. I also used the quick selection tool to delete any of the background that I didn't’t want. Furthermore, the airbrush and gradient tool was used to for the background on my front cover and dps because it made my photos look more professional and high quality. When using these tools it helps make the magazine look more clean and similar quality to the the other magazines that are already on the shelves on the shop.
  • 39. I always remove my background for the photo when used otherwise if you want to select a colour background which is different to the one on the photo then it can leave it looking incomplete and non-professional. Also, I used the text tool on the software but I downloaded a different font off dafont.com and it becomes available when selecting what text I wanted which gave it a more realistic look than the options that were available on the software. It also looks a lot better if you download it otherwise if you copy a paste it, it will look extremely unprofessional which will potentially mean lack of sales. Also, if you fill in any available spaces of the canvas with text then it makes the ,magazine look like its full of information.
  • 40. When I finished my work, I went through my pitch and all other bits of work just checking for misspelt words and defects in the slides. For example I proof read everything in my work to make sure it made sense so they the person marking my paper will understand what I'm writing about. I proof read over everything in my dps an made sure it was all perfect for marking.
  • 41. Colour Scheme – 808 Orange The colour orange connotes a gold fill of the magazine. The reason I used this colour was because my genre for the magazine is hip-hop/rap and will contain artists who love diamonds, gold and showing off all of their money. Black The colour black was used to contrast with the gold so it llooked luxury and gave off a very hip-hop/rap feel. I also makes the magazine stand out from all the others because they use colours like white and red to grab peoples attention. Colour Scheme –TMM Blue The colour blue is used because the magazine appeals mostly to men and the colour blue is mostly used by the male gender. I have also used this colour because it connotes a neutral look to the magazine and makes it look professional. Red The colour red contrasts with blue and makes the magazine stand out on the shelves. I also thought that the colour red made the magazine look more aesthetically pleasing which could cause someone to pick it up and give it a read.
  • 42. The main thing I changed was my draft interview, the reason I changed this because it didn't’t make much sense which furthermore made the magazine look extremely unprofessional because no customer would be satisfied with a magazine if the content in the slide didn't’t make sense and wasn’t very educational.
  • 43. In this unit I have spoken about everything to do with my magazine. I have covered things how I'm going to put my magazine in production and when I'm going to publish it to the audience. I have also covered all the things I needed to change within my magazine to make it look more professional for the public eye.
  • 44. A witness statement is when my teacher will go through my work, for example, this witness statement was taken from my pitch and it is designed to give me my pro’s and cons of my work. Therefore I will then be able to find my strong parts of my work but also see what I need to improve on to make my work the best of my ability.
