5. The Project Itself

The video was created and finished on
time
Because of a lot of problems popping up,
I was only just able to finish the video
Manage my time and planning better so that I have
plenty of time to work on the video
The green screen effect was pretty good
for most of the video that it is used in
There is a weird white patch behind me
due to the lighting not being perfect on
the green screen
Work on the lighting so that the patches on the green
screen don't appear or have the actors not wear
similar coloured clothing so that I can remove more of
the green screen without removing parts of my actors
There were a few different shots and
angles in the video
There aren't as many different shots and
angles as I hoped there would be
Try to add more unique camera shots and angles so
the video doesn't become stale and repeated
I used a microphone that attached to the
camera itself instead of using an external
microphone which helped make the video
easier to make since all the sound was in
the video itself
The microphone picked up some random
hissing noise that me or my tutor didn't
completely know how to remove it
entirely
Best to use an external microphone and voice
recorder instead of plugging a microphone straight
into the camera so then the hissing noise should not
appear again when recording at the time is finished
The music I used for the sequence that I
used the green screen in was royalty free
and worked well for the sequence
I occasionally stuttered and made a small
mistake during the video but I couldn't
change it due to not having any time left
Follow the script better rather than try to improvise
to make it look more natural and do recording earlier
so then if I make a mistake when recording, I can
change and improve it
The news intro is short, professional and
gets straight to the interview
The intro goes nowhere and never gets
mentioned, making the whole intro
pointless
Either make a few references to the news or don't use
a news intro if it is not possible
6. Development Diary

I was able to get some logs in for
each part of my project during the

My opinion:
• I agree that the footage is clear and that the backgroundisn't very busy
• I agree that the transitionsbetween the questionsand the answers are slightly too quick
• I agree with the distortionreturning for the last question

Pros:
• The intro to the video looks quite professional and has a catchy tune to go with it.
• The sound of your voice is very clear
• The idea that you put forward in your video is a legitimately interesting one.
• The explanation is very thought-out and well-done, with reasonable inspirations listed.
• The green-screen effect is pretty decent, and the music during that sequence is very
good.
Cons:
• The white noise in the background messing with the audio quality
My opinion:
• I agree that the white noise did take away from the project
• I agree that the music during the green screen sequence was good

• The games appearing above my hands was a good effect
• The punching sound effects match with the actual punches

• The black background is not that interesting

• I agree with the punching sound effects
• I believe that the black background works because that is mostly used for
interviews because it helps the audience focus on the person on camera
