The document discusses what the author has learned about various technologies through creating a product. They learned to use Photoshop to edit images, including adjusting brightness and shapes and overlaying text on images. In InDesign, they learned to position text around images so it did not overlap. They also learned to create columns for interview text. Prior to the project, the author was unaware of how blogs worked but learned to upload and edit work through Blogger. They also found it interesting that strangers can read blogs without knowing the author personally. For the product, the author created a survey in Survey Monkey and was surprised by how quickly strangers from around the world completed it in their spare time.

Q6 what have i learnt
1. What have you learnt about
technologies from the process
of constructing this product?
Q6- evaluation
2. Photoshop
At the beginning of the project I had no idea how to use Photoshop. I
have learnt to edit/manipulate images to different brightness's or
shapes and how manipulate texts. I have also learnt how to make
particular parts of an image overlap the text on the picture. On the
front cover of Muse Mag, I made the hat that the character was
wearing overlap the masthead. This looked effective because it made
the character look more dominant compared to the rest of the text.
3. InDesign
I used InDesign to create the double page spread of Muse Mag. When I
first began to create the spread, I didn’t know how the program worked
at all. Throughout the process of creating the double page spread I
learnt how to position the text around something. For example, I made
sure that the text was around the knee of the character so that it didn’t
overlap onto the person. This looked effective because it was giving the
character dominance. I also learnt how to make columns for the
interview text to be in. As explained above, the columns were
positioned so that they didn’t interfere with the character.
4. Blogger
Before this project I was unaware how to create a blog and how they
worked. It was interesting to discover how people use them on a daily
basis for their own use. I learnt how to upload and edit my work
through blogger. It was important that I knew how this worked because
blogger is where all of this media coursework had to be uploaded to
get marked. I found it interesting that complete strangers are able to
read your blogs without needing to know you as a person.
5. Survey Monkey
As part of the planning for Muse Mag, I had to create a survey and
upload it to Survey Monkey so that people could complete my survey.
The creation of the survey was simple, but I found it interesting that
the people who were completing my survey were people that I didn’t
know who chose to complete it in their spare time. I had to wait for the
survey to be completed by a certain amount of people before analysing
the results. However, surprisingly, this took a short amount of time
because people around the world were choosing to complete the
survey.
