The document discusses the process of creating a digital product and what was learned. It describes using Photoshop to refine images, add shadows and text, and make the product more professional. It discusses learning to use the software's tools properly over several months. Learn Photoshop skills and camera techniques for DPS creation
1. QUESTION 6
WHAT HAVE YOU LEARNT ABOUT TECHNOLOGIES
FROM THE PROCESS OF CONSTRUCTING THE PRODUCT?
2. WHAT IS THE PROCESS YOU WENT THROUGH TO
CREATE YOUR PRODUCT?
3. In my previous slide, I showed you how my DPS was
constructed and I used Photoshop to make my DPS
and also my front cover and contents page.
I was able to make the skin of my model more
smoother using the refine edge tool and the noise
effect, this helped make the it look more professional
and also I was able to add a shadow using the
gradient tool onto a background created on this
software which helped it to look more realistic.
I was able to add on texts from fontspace onto my
DPS on Photoshop.
Overall I feel like I have come a long way in terms of
knowing how to use Photoshop correctly and making
my product look as presentable as possible, a couple
of months ago I was unable to separate my texts into
columns as I am now and I was unable to put images
on without the background it came from.
4. USING A CANNON SLR CAMERA:
I used a Cannon SLR Camera to take all of my photos that is currently on my DPS, Front Cover and Contents page; this
camera allowed me to have pictures that looked more professional as it focused perfectly onto my models used.
Over the past few months I have learnt that lighting and the amount of people you have in one frame is very
important when it comes to taking photos using this camera as it could effect the camera’s focus on one model – I
also learnt that it is better to automatically focus the camera as it saves a lot of time and also photos tend to come
out more clearer automatically focus than manually because you’re not playing around with the lenses focus as much
than you are when the camera is being manually focused.
I also learned that using flash in a dark room tends to darken the photo so it is best to use it in a room with a good
amount of lighting.
5. WHAT WEBSITES DID YOU USE THROUGH THE
PRODUCTION?
• To show the development of my work I used mainly Prezi, I feel like Prezi had very interesting visuals
which made my development more interesting to look at.
• In order to upload my work I used blogger, and this shows the development of my work and also some
background research that I have conducted. I also fontspace to add on texts in my magazine.
• For my evaluation I used a large selection of presentation sites to present my work onto, I used different
sites as they all induvial have better ways of showing off my work and it’s all in a way where it’s
interesting as it provides many animations to look at during the course of the presentation, I used
softwares such as Prezi, Powtoon and more.
