Port Mann Bridge/Hwy 1 Improvement Project – This project included the detailed design and
construction of the bridge electrical infrastructure including: temporary high voltage distribution,
existing high voltage lines relocation, electrical services, lightning protection, power distribution,
communications services, ITS, fibre optic backbone, lighting, nav lights, AOL, bridge health
monitoring system and overpass structure grounding. Project Role: Lead Drafter, Electrical
Golden Ears Crossing – Translink - Project manager for all aspects of the electrical design including
conduit infrastructure, roadway and pedestrian lighting, traffic signals, telecommunications
system, electrical systems for the river crossing, traffic management system, CCTV, traffic data
collection and the incident management system. Project Role: Lead Drafter, Electrical
BC Ferries Security Upgrades – BC Ferries: In an effort to increase security standards within the BC
Ferries terminals, a preliminary security design was completed encompassing 11 of the major
terminals. The preliminary design included provisions for standard and active-infrared security
cameras, card access, intercom stations, perimeter fencing, and automated gating. A detailed
design has since then been completed for four of the major terminals, Tsawwassen, Swartz Bay,
Horseshoe Bay and Duke Point. The detailed design included a variety of field devices such as; card
access, intercom stations, fixed and PTZ CCTV cameras, automated and manual perimeter gates as
well as perimeter fencing. The design also included upgrading the existing network and the fibre
optic network. Construction was completed in 2009 for this project. Project Role: Lead Drafter
