room above ground, TSE storage tank and sewage balancing tank of 5,670m³ capacity, 2.7Km of two – 1200mm
ductile iron rising main, 1.0 Km of 500mm ductile iron rising main and 100mm HDPE TSE main line. As a senior
electrical and ICA Engineer, I was managing all the electrical and ICA works at site including testing,
commissioning and handing over the project to the Client.
Assistance Resident Engineer (Electrical), December 2005-May 2008
Project No. M35, Upgrading of Al-Ain Main STP & MV Substations, Al Ain, UAE
Contract Value AED. 70million. Project involves upgrading the plant from 54,000 M3/day to 120,000 M3/day by
replacement of existing inlet head works with new one including submersible pumps, screening facilities, grit
removal and odor control system.
Project includes also construction of new 11KV Substations, replacement of existing MV panels with new ones,
11kV cables laying including testing and jointing, street lighting, feeder pillars, feeders, road crossing,
underground utilities, telecommunication networks, relocation of existing services, replacement of the existing
surface aerators with diffused air system and construction of two blowers buildings to accommodate installation
of ten blowers controlled by VFDs and soft starters.
Responsibilities: As a Resident Engineer/Acting Project Manager, responsibilities encompass the following but
not limited to:
Act as the Construction Management's representative regarding all matters related to site supervision and
management for Major Civil / Infrastructure Engineering Construction Projects. Implementation of the Quality
Management System (QMS) to ISO 9001:2008. Coordinate with the Contractor and the Client. Monitor the staff
member’s work for conformance with Project Procedures. Coordinate construction works and reporting to the
