One of the largest RFP's I had worked on was the Riker's Island Jail project in which we had to replace an antiquated copper based, analog system with a fiber-optic digital network. In the 80's that was a monumental project because the technology was just emerging and Harris, although a great military and public contractor had to develop new processes and procedures for such a monumental project.
